Gorgeous wee Park. Very, very boggy in winter. Public can access the area as it adjoins a public walkway. Tennis club next door and the walks are stunning.
Well be how it was once a campground to it former self it could be better. If the city council reconnected the Toilet shower block and charge a little extra for those that need to use. And fix the parking sites from potholes. Im sure those that use the site wouldnt mine paying extra.
The park is tucked away, surrounded by trees inhabited by Kereru. I was lucky enough to see one. I stayed an extra night to make the most of being there. The spectacular Festival of Lights was a 30-minute walk away.
Such an amazing place, we stopped in on the way back to my sisters..it's a real little slice of paradise, I accidentally deleted all the photos, not much parking space but a beautiful little spot
Small but peaceful NZMCA Park and right on the Huatoki Walkway for biking into town or going for a bush walk. Note it also zigzags across urban streets.
