22 Jan, when you go anywhere with 6 children under the age of 6, you hope that people are as patient and as kind to you as you are trying to be to yourself while being demanded at by kids. One star female staff was kind to us. On the sad side, our pop corn was full of kernels. The hot dogs took so long that by the time we decided to go to cinema and seat the children the guy brought them out. We only ordered 6. But we were already up the escalator. He just left them on the counter. We were in cinema 6.
They charge a $1.50 "booking fee" when booking online, even though booking and paying first online makes things easier for both the cinema and the customer. Also really really slow service just to get food. Can't recommend.
Today 19th Jan 23 we went to see a Movie at Event Cinema Chartwell. It was Afternoon Show in Cinema Number 6. We are extremely disappointed - Very poor standard, Air conditioning was not working and Cinema was filled with damp and Moldy Smell. We sat throughout covering our face and nose with paper napkins. We would have walked out if we had another time/option to watch the movie at later date... go to this place only if you want to get sick. :-
Movie was great, screen resolution was amazing but Aircon wasn't working and we weren't told. 2 hours into a 3 hour movie sweating with a crowd of strangers, not that nice.
Have always enjoyed coming here. Ate a Peanut chocolate topping on a vanilla Ice Cream, dunked in Pop Corn...an old time fav from when I was a kid!
Nice clean cinema, the only downside was the pre-order queue. We had to wait for a while and the people in line were getting served quicker and sooner than us.
Awesome theatre. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Great selection of movies. Very steep on prices though.
Nice modern cinema and friendly staff. It’s a shame the food and drinks are so expensive, way overpriced so I don’t get any. I also refuse to pay the booking fee for purchasing tickets online. Luckily I live close and can walk to buy tickets there and save money.
Good cinema, nice seats and staff but the popcorn is terrible. If you're going to charge a months salary for some corn and salt it needs to taste good. Absolute waste of money imo for what, I feel, is a classic movie going experience.
Excellent Sound experience. Easy to access. It will be Outstanding viewing experience if screen size is some more bigger.... Still it's worth for the price.
