Eddie's Brunch Parlour

Popped in for a coffee and to buy their delicious bread today. The staff were polite and attentive; one was kindly dealing with a customer who had ordered something not as expected, thinking he'd got the wrong thing but had misunderstood. The ciabatta we ate with dinner [at home] was light and soft, which was pleasing, if less traditional. Our coffee's were excellent and the array of pastries and sandwiches looked fantastic. Tight off street slots for parking, but a good amount of customers, which is surely a good sign.

I’d seen this place is always so busy so I had to try it out, but I had disappointing experience in terms of both food and service. I had to ask multiples times for the banana bread to be heated up and sent back, and it didn’t come with butter either which it needed for the dryness. The burger is only memorable for the dry chicken :/ The coffees were fine and I liked the elspeth scone. It’s quite crowded and loud inside and out which made the other patrons have to yell to speak each other. Really unfortunate experience here and I don’t think this is for me.

Stopped by breakfast and got a mix of hot food and cabinet food. The savoury muffin was delicious and coffee was good. Got the salmon & spuds which was perfectly balanced and had perfect poached eggs! Almond croissant was more on the brioche side and could do with more almond flavour. Will definitely be back!

Came here a few weeks back as it was close to where we were staying. Service was quick once we’d ordered but staff were not overly friendly to greet anyone coming through the doors, they all seemed kind of disinterested tbh.nIt was quite busy and once our order was taken, our food arrived really quickly. But almost too quickly: it arrived before our coffee and with a an under cooked egg. And I’m not talking over easy with a beautiful runny yolk, like properly uncooked albumen the clear part of the egg and raw yolk running out of both our breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were really sloppy to eat. I don’t mind messy food but this was falling apart and I had to eat with a knife and fork which was awkward to do in the bowl it had been served in. And no, a properly cooked egg wouldn’t have made a difference to the structure of the sandwich. The flavours of the sandwich were otherwise really tasty, just a minute more on the egg would‘ve made all the difference. Coffee was ok but not amazing. I’d give this place a second go if they tightened up on a few things.

Came here for brunch with friends. Total of 6 dining and created two separate orders on the same table number. Coffees came quick and the first two meals. Waited 15 mins and still no other food but the croissant from the second order had come. Thought surly the 3 other meals where now on there way…waiting and nothing…got up and asked the confused staff and they then asked us what we ordered as no other meals for our table. After investigating we were asked if happy to wait another 6mins. Not happy but hungry…another 10+mins later and meals arrived. I had to ask staff when leaving what happened and told sorry the paper ran out and didn’t print our order. Won’t be coming back, didn’t offer us an explanation until I asked, didn’t offer a free beverage while we waited. They just didn’t care, Disappointed
