Eastgate Shopping Centre

Great location, easy to get here and from here. I just wish the mall has cinema, proper food court as not many option to choose from. Extended hour maybe once or twice a week to bring more people together.

Not much selection or variety in shops. Food court is tiny and not much selection, but, for some reason they have about 7 different fast foods right there in the area, including a maccas inside mall AND outside for some reason. The other thing offputting is all the dodgy people that congregate there and stare you down for no reason, like they want an excuse to fight you or steal all your money. I hate it when I have to go here, so I try and avoid if at all possible.

There are no real ATM's in this mall, only those predatory 'next' ones which pray on the elderly or people already in debt and and charge them an unnecessary $3 per withdrawal. It ends up cheaper buying a $1 water bottle you don't need and getting cash out as well at countdown.nEvery other mall in Christchurch has proper ATM. this issue only adds to the general dystopian feel of the mall.

Needed a JP to certify my documents, was very happy to see two JP's on the job!

A small, easily accessible shopping centre cor of Linwood Ave and Buckleys Road. It now houses the Linwood library, medical Centre and a few other offices where the Farmers Department Store used to be. It has a Food Court which is quite popular with locals and visitors alike. Choice of dishes include Indian, Chinese, roast meals, fish and chips, soups, sushii coffee and hot drinks. The Mall houses the Warehouse, Countdown , Number one shoes, Pagani, Postie Plus, Max out, Pharmacy and a few others. It has toilets, Carpark, escalators and lifts.
