We stayed for 1 night during our trip to isle of skye. The room was great for 2 person, the toilet looks new and well maintained! Clean towel and bed, we had the best sleep! the hotel provided complimentary toiletries as well. Worth the price! Located next to Coop grocery, about 2-4 minutes walking, which was great to buy light snacks!
The hotel sits on the ocean side of the Isle. Generous lobby, bar area, sitting area. Rooms vary in size but are well appointed. Dinner in dining room was great. The staff were able to look after 46 guests, plus with another large group on there way in after first service.Rooms: 4/5
Large hotel, easy to find. Booked a Quadroom for 4 adults having checked with them in advance if this was ok. I didn’t expect much as such rooms are usually cramped. This one was larger than expected, towards the back of the hotel facing a courtyard. Good bathroom. But for 4 people absolutely no place to put things including the suitcases. Check in not particularly friendly. But then, they cater to coachloads of tourists, which we noticed at dinner. Parking is down a steep side road: be sure to unload suitcases before, but there is no place to do so. We had to pull up outside the entrance on a busy road as the next door coach car park was full. Found out the next day that we could have unloaded the suitcases from the car park and entered the hotel via a lower door. The bar is in a busy area, not particularly inviting. Restaurant was busy, food good but expensive, but then, everything in Skye seems to be. Friendly staff, particularly the new Polish waitress with a lovely smile. Breakfast reasonably good with the usual selection of cooked food. Altogether a useful stop but had better in Skye.
Very helpful and respectful staffs. Food is good but small portion. The reception area and dining area are stunning , clean bathroom and clean room we had. T’was 2nd or 3rd time staying in this hotel and definitely worth the price with good breakfast included. Almost forgot the Bar area , it’s amazing.
For the price, hard to beat, yes it's a tired building, but the staff are putting in a large effort to bring it up to a higher standard. Rooms are basic but comfortable with bathrooms modern and as throughout the hotel very clean. Buffet breakfast very acceptable. Add on the very polite and friendly staff then we had a very pleasant short break.
No lifts. No parking on site! We had to park at car park on the other side of the Co-op. Food was very good. Rooms ok...but shower was amazing.Rooms: 2/5
Can't complain for the price. Prime location, off street parking for a car/motorcycle. Clean and warm room with hot shower. Decent breakfast.Rooms: 4/5
WORST EXPERIENCE!!! The room smells bad in a wet and old way. The hotel is super old When someone is moving upstairs you can hear it very clear like its very very thin roof. I could not sleep longer than 6pm because apparently people were walking from 6am nonstop above me. There must be a hall above the bed. The towel had some hair on it and had some yellow color on a space. Above the door there was still dirt- not cleaned good The door cannot be locked.. The springs of the matress were coming in my back - it must be super old and i got backpain and I could feel thr spings in my flesh the whole night. WORST hotel I habe been to in Europe and a desaster if you compare the room you get with the expensive price. I paId around 125£ for this - I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. Dont go here
Wonderful room, clean and spacious. Makes a great base to explore the surrounding countryside. Management could be better.Rooms: 5/5
A well established hotel by the loch. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were very clean with new bathroom., Tea facilities. The food was very good and the restaurant staff excellent. Only down side, there was no lift and was a little difficult for the elderly. Would recommend this hotel.Rooms: 4/5
