Copthorne Hotel Greymouth

Had a great stay.nAs many reviews say..looks quite austere from outside but once inside it is a different world.nThe room I had was spacious, very clean,nSuper comfortable bed and even a view from the window to see the river and watch a lightning storm.nStaff were friendly and helpful.nGreat location in town.nReally enjoyed seafood chowder from in house restaurant.nWould stay again.

One hotel chain with different rules? I have enjoyed staying at the Copthorne chain on my holiday to New Zealand and have found their service is exceptional. The Greymouth hotel rubbed it all in dust. Oh the rooms are large and comfortable but the service is bad. The receptionist was bordering on the rude. A simple request like a moisturising cream was dismissed. Ice bucket was offered for a price. And when we requested that our leftover food be warmed it was refused as company policy! The other Copthorne hotels gladly did all this for us with a smile. The view too is non existent. Definitely think twice about this chain of hotels

Just checked out. Unbelievable for the price. No air con on very hot summer day and told to use the fan and staff were so rude in the breakfast restaurant that I would never go back to this hotel. Very tiny room and super basic. The price they charge should put higher standard.nThe only plus was good wifi and river view.nSTAY AWAY. I would not come back to this place even if they paid me. Basic motels in NZ are better than this.

The person on reception when I arrived was great, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I had room service and the food was great. I couldn't fault anything.nA big thank you to the staff at the Copthorne

Clean rooms, large beds after a long drive. Pleasant surprise after a tiring day. Had good rest behind heading down the west coast.nnParking may be limited.nnAlso, the restaurant was one of the best restaurants I've been to in New Zealand.
