Copthorne Hotel Greymouth

We loved the super comfy beds, the warmth of the room, the shower. It was simple with a jug and tea/coffee provided, a great sized TV, quiet. The only thing we could fault is a whistle noise at night, when the place was quiet. Sounded like wind whistling through wires or something?

We stayed one night and was surprised by the inside as the outside looks a bit shabby! But don’t be put off as the rooms are warm, welcoming and tastefully decorated! The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!

Good hotel in Greymouth.nStaff were super welcoming and room was perfectly clean.nBreakfast was warm and the quality of the food was ok. The disappointment was the filter coffee and the very limited choice. No pancakes, no boiled eggs,…nnI would stay again, but wouldn’t book the breakfast, wasn’t worth the money.

Rooms are modern and renovated but the exterior badly needs renovation. Service desk older blonde man needs training in service. Just smile more.nLocation is central Greymouth which is a has been town. Sadly.

Just checked out. Unbelievable for the price. No air con on very hot summer day and told to use the fan and staff were so rude in the breakfast restaurant that I would never go back to this hotel. Very tiny room and super basic. The price they charge should put higher standard.nThe only plus was good wifi and river view.nSTAY AWAY. I would not come back to this place even if they paid me. Basic motels in NZ are better than this.
