Denny's

We went there for dessert and chips and had a lovely time. It was quiet enough to have a good catch-up, yet it was quite busy as well. We were seated quickly. Our server was helpful. The restaurant is located at the bottom of Wairau Park and includes lots of parking, which is handy. When looking out the huge windows, we looked out onto a duck pond.

The food choices was so great, the menu is GINORMOUS! But, the food that we ordered came out cold in the middle and bland. Needed a few shakes of salt and pepper. We had Jessica as our server and she was so great! We had only ordered one milkshake to share but she came back to double check if we wanted another drink and good thing she did ̈ Wouldn’t go back for the food, but Jessica had really great customer service skills!

To start, table stil has wipes streak marks on it as was sticky. Had to wipe the table and was left with a wipe that was partially black from whatever was on the table. There was a random potato product left on a seat. Atmosphere is cold and no music of any kind. We weren't greeted by the either staff members that walked passed our table. Waitress that brought menus and cutlery, just left it on the table and walked off, not even saying hello or engaging in any way. Cutlery didn't look clean and had splotches of water marks on them. Had to request clean cutlery, but even the replacement cutlery didn't look clean. Requested boiling water to clean cutlery. Waitress uniform was a bit messy. Ordered Eggs Benedict with well done eggs and when I got it, the eggs were not well done at all and runny, which i do not eat as it makes me personally sick. The meals were well presented and will give them good points for presentation. But when you stipulate one requirement to the order and then get that wrong, doesn't say much about the service. Would I ever dine at a Denny's again, probably not.

Can we take a moment to check out the huge size of the pork ribs for $35. I mean its huge compared to a few more places. They have the best food and the quantity is fare according to a person. Dont forget to try their milkshakes and desserts. Got a pretty basic ambience with ling tables and a poolside view. Staff is friendly and nice to communicate with. A definite to go

Been coming here for nearly 20 years. Kids absolutely love it. I always have the salmon skillet. Desserts are great. It's a low key place, easy going.

The service was not very good. The waitress didn't make any effort to welcome you. The food I ordered was pumpkin soup. The bowel looks big, but it was extremely shallow!!! It was about 150mls!! Don't recommend this place!!Food: 1/5

Saturday 4pm. Partner and I rocked up hungry as. Despite being sceptical from our last experience eating here about year ago. we decided to give it another chance. Customer service was excellent, warmly greeted and seated as soon as we arrived, by friendly female staff. didn't have to wait long for order to be taken. Food came out hot and almost correct. Staff apologized and bring out the missing egg from my premium burger. Didn't mind, glad they were transparent and communicated this with me. Curly fries were cooked to perfection, golden, crispy n crunchy. partner ordered the chicken Melt which was crunchy, tasty an delicious. Atmosphere was a little cold,. Could either turn ac off or up as it's already cold an was making customers cough n sneeze. We enjoyed our food and our dining experience. I would recommend this Denny's for anyone looking for a nice hot delicious burger or toastie, who knows we could potentially be back for another meal.

Very decent service, great food! I usually split the Grand Slam with my partner and we’re both full by the end. Oreo shake has been my favourite drink for years. By far the best service has been by the asian lady who sometimes wears very cool eyeliner. Comes around the seats frequently and even refilled our coffee.
