De Fontein is located in the heart of Mission Bay, just 8 minutes drive from Auckland’s CBD, and is the perfect place to escape the hustle & bustle of the city, especially from the sun drenched balcony overlooking the bay.

We proudly serve authentic Belgian cuisine complimented by an extensive selection of fine Belgian beers & some of the best wines from NZ & Australia. Food was awesome, service was fantastic! Only let down was bread was too thick for a charcuterie board which was shared between 4! Otherwise delicious! Good sized portions of food!
As someone who tends to use grabone vouchers, this is certainly one place where you will always get great value for money. Every time I have been here the food has been amazing, the service has been great, in short the quality overall is so consistent. Definitely will be back

Great selection of bottled beers and a good selection of Belgium beers on tap My favourite is the Leffe Brune. They have happy hour but only if you stay downstairs, upstairs NO happy hour. They have very good food as well!
The food is great & the staff are always friendly. However, it is disappointing that the food comes out before the drinks when both are ordered at the same time.
De Fontein and their sister De Post in Mt Eden are very warm, inviting venues. They have excellent drink selections, with their cherry beer being a favourite of mine. On Mondays, the half-price on mussels would satisfy any seafood lover. The blue-cheese and spinach sauce is to die for. The staff are always friendly to boot!
Clean and tidy restaurant. A bit dated ambience but spacious and comfortable. Meals were well presented and tasty especially the seafood chowder.
