Come and enjoy the views of Auckland Harbour at this well renowned gastropub, located on the waterfront of the vibrant Wynyard Quarter just a short walk from the CBD, Viaduct Harbour and Silo park. Set in an historic wharf side goods-shed, Jack Tar offers a wide selection of local and international beers, fine wines, fresh juices and quality spirits as well as gourmet pizzas, burgers and a large and varied menu to suit all tastes.

Came here for dinner on Saturday night, place was busy but you can book online so makes it super easy. Food was amazing and service was pretty good. Menu is really diverse so had heaps of options to choose from. Would for sure come back.
Tasty food, nice service, kids friendly environment,reasonable price.
Average experience really. Nice outdoor seating. Hit and miss staff. We had duck fat chips ok, burger sliders ok and pork belly bites divine. If you want more of a taste experience, this isn't for you. For a pleasant sit down, this would be a good option.
Brilliant food options. Well cooked and carefully presented meals. Nice decor and ambience, decent music choice. An ideal location with ample parking within 5 minutes walking distance. Rustic, yet trendy. Live music on Wednesdays which is a welcome change. Slightly on the expensive side. $70~$100 for drinks and dinner for 2.
Loved the food, loved the atmosphere and had the most superb and welcoming service from Patel sorry if I got that name wrong I didn't quite catch it clearly

Cool place to unwind at for a team end of year function. Delicious pizza and wide variety of drinks.
Loved the food here. I was expecting just the usual sports bar fare but I was quite surprised! I'm not a fan of sports bars/bistros but this one was the exception.
