Cracroft Reserve

As a local resident it is very frustrating that it is open 24 hrs. Victoria Park, Riccarton Bush and the Botannical Gardens are closed at night, so why can’t we have peace from 10 pm? We have drinking parties, vamped tour directors getting their tours shouting and yelling, ghost walks of screamers on a very normal bush walk, etc.we have fireworks on and off all year as well…nSorry but I grew up on the edge of this reserve and never had the noise we get today. The public toilet doors are slammed continuously on too many evenings, and there is NO NOISE CONTROL…I’m not the only resident who is OVER IT nWe are rate payers and perhaps we should pay less????

Nice reserve but lots of folks refer to this place as The sign of the Takahe rather than Cracroft Reserve! There's 2 lookouts but the first is useless as it's completely obstructed by bushes. The 2nd lookout gives extensive views of Christchurch. My photos don't do it justice as it was a rather cloudy day.
