This was clearly $1.50, the self service checkout charged me $4 and Tina staff member wasn't exactly helpful. She was too slow, things need to be explained like she was a 5y.o, showed her the photo and the actual location and still wouldnt believe me at all. As she amended the price messed up our order further by amending a price for another product and rescanned it, making me being charge extra. Also the stock levels at this countdown is shocking.
Same list of groceries goes up in price on each visit...otherwise fine I guess.
Deceptive pricing. They have specials which are marked with yellow tags but often only limited stock. When the shelf location is empty they leave the signs in place & fill it up with a similar more expensive product hoping you won’t notice. Another trick they do is to place a large sign advertising a special over a different product. Last time they had a large 50 x 30 cm sign advertising apples for $2 kg when the ones below it scanned at $5.60 - the cheap ones had no sign and were several bins away. In the attached photo the meals are actually $10, not $4.10 as priced. Always carefully look at the price at checkout to avoid getting scammed. They rely on people not bothering or noticing. And I wish they would remove about 10 of their trolleys dumped in the reserve beside their boundary
Richmond Countdown, yes my local and also favorite, staff are pleasant and do smile. The staff handled/worked amazing during the 1st lock down Kia Ora staff of RICHMOND Rd COUNTDOWN,,,,
Quite a good size, not too cramped. Staff are friendly and helpful. Has lotto and a walk in beer chiller. Sometimes tills get busy and you have to queue for a while.
When are you going to change the software for card only self serve tills to not ask if it's card or cash, when there's actually no choice. Lovely friendly staff

Great supermarket, very friendly staff from produce all the way to checkouts. Wide range of products that cater specifically to the community which is awesome. Always clean and tidy, only issues are queues at the checkout, but the Scan and Go checkout option is always better, scan as you pick products then checkout at the dedicated checkout, no waiting.
Shop is very tidy and staff here were very helpful with finding a product for me. Didn't have to try and find a staff member through the isles like most countdowns definitely Recommend this shop
Ques too big at this place, not the cheapest supermarket, have changed the shelves around which has thrown off a lot of people, now the que to checkout is longer than the time to pick your own groceries- back to online shopping at Pack and Save!!!
