Countdown Pt. Chevalier

Great place to shop with very friendly staff. It hasn't all things, but most of the necessary and major brands. Prices are also good and usual discounts on several things. However, one star taken because it's not easy to find a car parking! So, prepare to keep making rounds till someone finishes shopping and leave!

My first time at Countdown Pt Chev. I searched everywhere for lime juice. I asked a customer. They couldn't find it. I asked a staff member. They directed me to lime cordial. I finally decided to look for actual limes and found the lime juice in the fresh fruit and vegetable aisle.

Smaller supermarket on a small site. Parking is not always easy. However once inside the staff are great, the smaller range is always well stocked. Really love the place!!

Couldn't find a product, asked a staff member who clearly couldn't be bothered. I asked if they had any out the back. He immediately said no. Didn't check at all. Poor service.

One of the worst stocked supermarkets in Auckland. Always running out of veggies and other popular items. The quality of the veggies I'd pretty poor too, its like all the good product gets sent to the Richmond Road store and Point Chev is left with the rejects.

Absolutely painful for choice. Best to avoid this place like the plague. I can guarantee that nine times out of ten, at least one or two items out of five that I am after are not in stock. It stocks the absolute basics and nothing more. I am not even that fussy and I hardly ever get what I want from this place. Given that it is half the size of a normal supermarket it is no wonder. But I keep falling for the trick regardless. If you want the basics come here, if you want other stuff then go elsewhere.

Well overdue for a replacement. Small and cramped due to its aged designed and trying to get all the Countdown products stocked. Lacking some items. Good service from friendly staff.

A countdown supermarket in 4 Square clothing. Concise little supermarket tucked into the Point Chevalier shopping mall. It's small size reflects the smaller range of goods on offer but they do manage to pack a lot into the small size they have. Prices are more competitive than similar sized mini-marts so that is nice. Good range of beer and wine on offer for those that need it. Fresh fruit and breads are of a good quality too. Theres a large parking behind the building as well, making it convenient for quick stops.

One of the staff Jane makes it a nice place to go when you need some things. She is knowledgeable, smiley, approachable and always there to help. Thanks Jane, you're awesome!

Ming packed my groceries with intelligence, leaving soft or breakable things for an appropriate spot in the bag. How refreshing!
