Frequently mark prices as discounted on the shelves and labels, but charge full price at the register and on receipt. I've caught them half a dozen times doing this and questioned it/ got refunded. I'm not talking about club card deals either... be aware of this dishonest practice and check your receipts.
I have been visiting New World Metro Queens street on a fortnightly basis to get catering for work recently, staff members I have interacted with from the catering team, team stocking shelves and check out, all friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Jamila for being able to accomodate a last minute large order I needed for my end of year office party this morning, she showed genuine interest to assist me, she is an amazing multitasker, able to provide great assistance to me while still able to accomodate other customers while I finalise the remaining of my purchases, maintain the self checkout areas and manage the traffic/queue of the check out area. Truly amazing! Thank you!
I can't choose zero star. Very Bad. I bought a box of YB sushi in New World Metro Auckland at 17:16 on Jan. 16, 2021. The salmon and avocado sushi looked not bad though it was not just freshly made. I took it back home to eat at about 18:30. When I ate the last piece of the 10 piece of sushi. I chewed a piece of foreign object, a short hard whit strip out of the sushi. I almost threw up and was disgusted. Poor food safety for YB sushi! Thumb down!
I just ordered from Uber eats and instead of calling me to let me know that I guess they didn’t have the item I needed they replaced it with something else and I’m highly allergic to the item they replaced it with. Very disappointed and will never be buying from there again
It is convenient if you're staying out in the city for a few nights. They don't have much variety, though and prices are a bit steep.
First class shopping experience. Friendly staff, remarkably comprehensive range of goods. Shelves are always neat and well stocked, beer and wine.. superb!

nice easy for me. went on Saturday afternoon. staff were very helpful with what i was asking for.. checkout staff looked happy and i was served by ben and asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the duty supervisor and could help me with a certain product i wanted! showed me where and what too do in auckland city, and because i'm here for 3 years he show me and signed me up to the new world club card! so will definitely be my new local.
My son inlaw went in this afternoon and asked politely if they sold drier sheets, only to be rudely told by the female staff member “if it’s not bloody there are you blind” which he replied anpardon that’s really rude of you “where is your manager @ next thing he is being escorted out by security! We will never go to this stall again … Highly discussed
Every time when I came to this New world and use self checkout machine, there was a male check out staff always came to stood behind my back..why? Absolutely no respect! Have some respect for your customers!! won't be back here shopping for a while now!
