This really is a stand-out Countdown. The two things that make it are the ease of parking, and the range of product. You sometimes will pay a little extra for some items compared with Pak’nSave but they rarely run out of most items. It’s always a pleasant shopping experience here. They used to open 24 hours but now they close at 10p. Have a shared parking areas with McDonald's and the EV charger with plenty of parking spaces. The interior is modern and keeps up with the other Woolworth shops. Staff members are friendly, helpful and attentive,although sometimes it seems that there are hardly any staff in the shop.
I am regular customer there, I got told off by a staff there, my kitten in my backpack carrier is not allowed in a rude way, I had conversation with Countdown online customer service team a couple of months ago that it is perfectly fine to bring my kitten in a carrier. Later he confessed that he is the only allergic to cats. Firstly, he needs to understand if he is does not touch the cat, nothing is going to happen to him. Secondly, Countdown as a big brand, you need to have brand and voice consistency.
I like visiting this place. Nice clean place with plenty of options from bakery. Very good collection of wines and details about each wine type is what stands out for me. Ambience is very good. No issues with parking here. Very nice staff here. They have a chemist as well.
Can usually find parking easy, not too busy if visiting outside of peak hours. Great to have pharmacy there too
Is it the largest Countdown supermarket in Auckland? Certainly feels like it. Maybe the best planned with overall clear wayfinding directions. Great fruit and vegetables. Extensive meat and salad selection. Huge wine overview. Big bakery. A supermarket designed to supply family provisions.
I'm a regular customer here. Last weekend I've decided to try out lamb ribs. Very, very disappointed in what they charged $13.54 for 8 pieces in a pack. Lamb ribs turned out to be lamb flaps cut into short ribs lookalike. I saw some of those lamb flaps been sold at Pukekohe west countdown in the dog food section. These were nothing but fatty, grease lamb pieces. Was hopping for the best, but ended up giving them to my dog. Never again.
The scanner for the Reward Apps don't work good...can't scan The Indian lady staff was very angry with me. Not happy. She seems not happy & rude. My wife was with me. Both retired. Were just 500 m .
They stopped stocking Wakachangi 24 packs, and they dont stock much moore gold double chocolate ice cream 2L they wont get my money again till they change this smh
Nice sized supermarket. Not too busy. They have a quiet, shopping hour for people with sensory difficulties. I'm autistic and I love thet.
