Classic citifiti gym, well managed and clean considering how busy it gets during peak hours. Lots of room for cardio. Parking present on site but is limited.nnShoutout to Ella from reception for being so helpful during the signup.
Urban CityFitness gym. Limited on-site parking which can get dire at peak times so go early if you want to park as there will be a queue. Some group fitness classes are available. The main floor is crowded and the main walkway is between rows of machines which isn’t ideal. An intimidating place to go if you’re not a regular gym user or have just signed up but it gets easier with more visits.nNewlands City Fitness appears to be the Wellington flagship branch and has more parking and feels more comfortable though the group fitness space is cramped and has been further diminished by making it a multiuse space and putting down new artificial grass type carpet which is not nice to work on
It was a normal and old gym.nCause I stayed at Aurora Hotel, so they give us discounts fee for this gym.nWith two floors, it has a lot of equipment but no deadlift place, so that's so sad if you want some lift.nI came in the springtime, so it's not too hot.nClean and the staff is nice.nJust a short time, so I still enjoy my routine workout!
I love the gym and Abundance Studio, great value and solid facilities, hence the four stars. However, the parking situation is an issue, not just due to limited space but because some clients block the entrance and ignore others waiting. When I politely asked one man to move so that I can leave the parking lot after waiting for him for minutes, he responded rudely and with entitlement, leaving several cars stuck behind him and not budging. As a woman, I don’t feel comfortable addressing this myself. I’d appreciate if the gym could step in during busy times or consider revoking memberships of those who act in a threatening or antisocial way, so all members feel respected and safe.
It's very clean. The staff is polite. Group classes are fun. I would give 5 stars if there was more parking thx WCC. Otherwise, it's great.n*update* there are 3 cleverly marked street parking spaces across the street. I use the PayMyPark app so I do not ever use the parking kiosk. I went to a early morning class. Came out to my car and a meter maid was standing beside it. I was confused and asked if I had done something wrong. He became rude and raised his voice telling me that I was parked in a bus lane and he was towing me!!! I looked at my space and told him I was still confused as there is no signage saying it is a bus lane. He raised his voice telling me to come to the parking kiosk. He clicked on the kiosk and the screen said that they space was a bus lane during 6:30am-9:30am! I explained that i use the app and have no reason to look at the kiosk. He said doesn't matter mate..you're being towed. I quickly got in my car and left and went to work. The ticket on my wind screen was for $180 !!!!!!!!!!nI know that this has nothing to do with city fitness they are still amazing, but i want to bring awareness. To this nonsense and hope thay hope that no one else gets caught in the entrapment. *****lots of luv to City Fitness
