Absolutely love CityFitness Newlands! The trainers are friendly, professional, and always happy to help. The equipment is well maintained, and the gym is consistently clean and tidy. There’s also a great, non-judgmental atmosphere, making it a welcoming place for anyone looking to exercise, build strength, or improve their fitness.nA special shout-out to PT Ricky McDonald — he’s an excellent trainer for anyone wanting to progress, stay motivated, or maintain their fitness goals. Highly recommend!
Worst customer service I’ve experienced. They’re quick to sign you up, but the moment there’s a problem, you’re on your own. Even though money is still being deducted from my bank account after I cancelled and it’s been more than 4 weeks, the staff at CityFitness Newlands refused to help and just told me to call the 0800 number because “we can’t help you here.” Passing customers around instead of taking responsibility is unacceptable. They care about getting your money, not looking after their members. Avoid if you expect decent customer service.
Best gym in the world. Coming back to the gym after being out of the country for so long felt so goodnnLiterally nothing to complain about. So cheap. Always clean. Staff are nice.
I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Dion, the club manager over at CityFitness Newlands. He’s friendly, approachable, and runs a really well-organised and tidy gym. Dion takes great care of both his staff and the members. You’ll often see him walking around the gym saying hello, checking in with people, and making sure all the equipment is working properly.
Went to the seniors fitness class for the first time. Friendly welcoming group. I struggled to keep up with parts of the routine but I wasn't alone. There was no sense of being judged so I was able to just relax and do what I could do. Looking forward to going back.
