Churchill Park

Great off leash area to walk your dog in the middle of the city. Mostly open fields with cows with lots of trails plus new ones and a lookout being built so a little exposed in the sun and wind. Nice shaded stream walk replete with river eels.nnTrails can be pretty muddy after rain and pretty much the entirety of winter. Barely any bins along the route but seems to be kept clean.

Loved this walk. Did not feel like I was even in the city any longer. Nice long walk, no cover on a sunny day it is open grasslands. Easy walking. Dog friendly. Small carpark.

Lovely park for a walk couple of up hill bits so if you’re not used to walking maybe take it slownAnd there are cows!

Good place to walk the dog but during lockdown the narrow path at the bottom makes it hard to distance, would not recommend doing that part during lockdown.

Green Bastion amongst suburbia. Great general walking area for dogs, kids and family. Complete with cows
