An absolutely lovely place to be away from suburbia. Lost of native trees, well kept trail, and lovely views of the Tamaki Estuary.
Such a beautiful walking track, alot of history and interesting facts, how the Maori used the trees for medicine,food,furniture,transport, such lovely views and wildlife, and having pest control such a bonus.
Quiet place to go for a walk feed the ducks. Kids paddle and swim. Theres no toilets but thoroughly enjoyed our picnic under the trees.
Lovely walk along the Spit.
Beautiful spot. Great birds. Tha ks to all the volunteers who love this place and have put so many hours into it

If you look closely it appears to be a short fin eel in the stream. Neat.
