Vibrant atmosphere with coffee and food to match! A very cool cafe right by the city centre. Friendly staff. Fast service. Lots of options for drinks and food to suit every taste. Recommend the chai lattes and french toast!Food: 5/5
Love this well designed coffee factory. Great coffee with outstanding interior style. The industry style is full of design details and not done cheap. Definitely a professional coffee shop for serious coffee lovers.Food: 5/5
I've been a fan of C4 for a long time, but clearly I'm not that big a fan as I didn't know this place existed until today! It's tucked away down a wee path still obvious from the road though and once you enter, holeee there's a lot going on! Coffee machines and paraphernalia for sale, loads of beans on offer to have ground however your heart desires, the on-site roastery and of course the cafe which serves up the C4 house blend along with a couple other new options. The friendly guy at the counter explained them to me, which I appreciated, and chose the Gautamala one which was great! The layout is cool, there's big outdoor space with umbrellas etc. I'm definitely going back for more than just a takeaway flat white! You could definitely spend a lot of time here.
Ambience, interior and layout exceptional. Coffee however is slightly disappointing, for a place which has pride themselves for years with good quality coffee and roasting; unfortunately the standard has dropped. Many years ago this was the best place to get coffee in Christchurch, now it isn’t. I am fussy about coffee and take care of the details, I’m a true connoisseur.
Awesome atmosphere and excellent coffee. I received a warm welcome and big smile as soon as I walked in. A lot of coffee making equipment here. So far this is the best cafe I have been to. In addition, the table in front of the roastery is amazing.
Finally a beautiful, great place for me to enjoy a delicious filter coffe in Christchurch. It took me some time to find C4 but it was worth. Several blends to choose from, a variation of cakes. Eggs Benedict are amazing. What an amazing place to enjoy a very good coffee. And they roast it on site! What else can you ask for?Food: 5/5
My decaf flat white was average. It had a reasonable head on it but the body was thin and not aerated. Taste was no more than mild. You see I guess I know how good C4 coffee was back in the post-quake days.....being one of their early customers back in the Tuam St warehouse. I'll always remember how damned good your coffees were, every single one of the dozens of times I went there with my workmates ie five days a week! Compared to the standard of say average Wellington coffee there is work to be done!! Hopefully you'll take this on board. The ambience and outdoor seating is very good though, probably near the top of the city scene so if the coffee quality is secondary to your needs then fill your boots. I realize some folk don't know what a really good coffee is, or don't really care.
I’m sure this local favourite doesn’t need more nice things said about it, but if you haven’t been yet then you need to fix this. Maybe it’s because this is the first meal after we arrived in Christchurch, but by god C4 served us the most awesome coffee vibes I’ve ever felt. And the food was top notch. The coffee here is excellent, like really good. And they roast their own stuff with plenty of variety on site for you to chose from. But what’s the most amazing is probably how happy everyone is here, and that is important, because coffee should make you happy, and if this doesn’t do it for you, I’m not sure what will.
Their Krank and Stout blends are probably best. Recommend the tasting flight 3 cups of piccolo to see what you like! Also potato hash of their Benedict is ‍
Great place if you're a coffee addict. Very welcoming at the counter and staff are on point. Food was excellent however, I found the French toast portion a little too big and they used the wrong type of bread....It was still delicious and thank god....they don't wrap their cutlery in napkins which is a pet hate.
