The staff were very friendly and always happy to help! The cheese burger was absolutely delicious. It contained two meat patties which made it even better. The chips were nice and crisp. I got a pot of tea for one for $4.50 and I was able to get 4 cups of tea from it! All in all a great place to eat at!Food: 5/5
Good basic cafe: the coffee and fries are good. However, the brunch offerings could be improved a bit - bread is often a very soft, cheap-tasting white loaf that has too much give for substantial toppings. The poached eggs are cooked through just the right amount, but are made in moulds so have that very firm UFO shape that isn't so appealing, and makes the whites a bit yuckier. Will def still come by for coffees though.
Came here yesterday to try it out. I ordered eggs on toast with bacon and my partner ordered a benedict with salmon. We were both pleasantly surprised with our meals! They looked amazing and were absolutely delicious. I would say this is one of the best cafes that i’ve been to in Christchurch and I will definitely be back. The staff were lovely aswell, highly recommend :
Great food, nice place, by the tram track, good location for photo, self service bottle of water and glasses foc, friendly staffs. Four of us really enjoy our lunch there.Food: 5/5
Staff were pleasant and food was what we were expecting. Portions were of a good size and we left happy. No table service which I do understand, but we came in with that expectation so it made it a bit difficult to order with a larger group. Nice upstairs section - perfectly quaint for a nice lunch.
Cafe Stir was my choice for breakfast this morning. The location is quite convenient and close to the centre of town down a quirky little street where the local tram runs through. The smashed avo with egg was rather tasty and a well sized portion at an average price point for the area. The coffee was one of the better ones I've had since being in Christchurch. The service was timely although not overly friendly but at the same time not unpleasant. I would go back again. Attention! The food was not clean and we all had diarrhea after ate here it's the only shop we've been together at that day The flavor is also poor. Just have a look at the container food, the ciabatta was so dry and most of meals were below the average. It only let me feel the other coffeeshop is so great, would never come here again.
Cold, rainy day in Christchurch and soup sounded good. The seafood chowder was actually pretty flavorless. The base tasted as though it had been thickened with flour. Husband’s chips were good but the Hoki fish had a watery texture. I’d choose somewhere else next time.
Chicken burger was delicious, plated beautifully and came out quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Venue was relaxing and well kept, outdoor seating was great in the sunRecommended dishesCrispy Chicken, Margherita Pizza
Kind staff. Good service. Tasty food. Only one niggle is a croissant with crispy chicken was too difficult to eat. Too tough to cut. Too hard to hold for a bite because of too much sauce on it.
