Wonderful breakfast! Went along at suggestion of a coworker, and I was very pleased. Nice cosy layout, casual & friendly staff and delicious food. I had the French Toast, but swapped the bacon for the potato stack. A VERY generous serving of French toast with blueberry compote and a tart and extraordinary lemon marscapone. The French toast also came with a dusting of Cinnamon sugar, which added that little extra complexity and joy to the dish, but if you're not a sweet tooth, you've been warned! I have to make a special mention for the potato stack. Layers and layers of crispy potato. If you love potato in any regard, you HAVE to get a side of potato stack. I promise you will not regret it. I would happily have 3 sides for a naughty breakfast or dinner! I'll be back, and with friends next time! Only downside at all was it doesn't seem the most accessible space if you're in a wheel chair or mobility scooter. Some tight spaces, tricky to get to toilets and a step at the shop entrance. Hopefully something that may change in future! Vegetarian options: Staff happily let me swap the bacon which came with my meal for the potato stack at no extra cost. Wheelchair accessibility: Nicely spaced interior, wheelchair accessible if you enter from the rear of the Cafe. Front entrance has a step and tight entrance. Most doors and toilets seem quite tight, wheelchair friendly, but sadly probably not a mobility scooter.
Having breakfast at Brigittes was a bit of a tradition whenever we visited Christchurch. Its our first visit since pre- covid and we were really disappointed. The waiting staff ignored us, we had to get our own menus and ask for water and then ask to order. When the food arrived the poached eggs were cold, and one was so hard it was inedible. No one appeared at any time to ask how our food was. Even when i went to the counter to pay $50 for 2 poached eggs on a small piece of bread, an omelette a tea and a coffee, no one asked how the food was and as soon as we paid, the young man disappeared leaving me no opportunity to give feedback. Needless to say i dont recommend and this tradition has sadly ended. We wont go back.
Had trouble finding the 'new' entrance but we were not alone. Very friendly and obliging service. Great food. A little noisy perhaps but not a retraction. Thank youFood: 4/5
The service was quite slow, food okay. Love the outdoor booth style seating for enjoying the sun and the warm heaters for chilly days! Food: 4/5
Great latte and food! We had the salmon bagel and the benny. Good atmosphere and vibe, the staffs were really friendly
Great service and awesome staff. Food was brilliant with plenty of variety to choose from. All staff wore their masks at all times. And they sprayed and wiped tables between costumer's. Busy place so book ahead if you can.
Disgusting pancakes, they aren’t even cooked! Would never recommend this place to anyone
We had mince on toast from the breakfast menu. It was ok. Nothing to rave about. The hot chocolate was cold and as a whole I would say for what we got the price was too highFood: 3/5
Delicious Mothers day Breakfast with family with great service on top. Highly recommend.
Went here for a work brunch. Very much liked the atmosphere. I chose the eggs benedict with bacon. Was great apart from the white on my poached eggs wasnt fully cooked and I do not like the jelly consistency of uncooked egg white. Also as a side note, someone butchered the holondais as it was far too acidic with too much vinegar. I had to scrape it off as it was overpowering the other flavours.
