I was a bit skeptical on coming to this place at first but wow this was a highlight of my entire France trip. The food was the best introduction to French cuisine. The food was beyond delicious and flavorful. The service was exceptional. They sung happy birthday to my son as a surprise to us all. And to top off the meal was extremely affordable. The history on top of the meal was Amazing. I can't say enough about it.
Well i finally had the chance the eat at the oldest restaurant in Paris. The building and restaurant is really ancient and beautiful. You will find traditional french food here and worth to try. We took their lunch menu entree - plat - dessert. Honestly, it filled me up until night time. Highly recommended.
This place is absolutely stunning! The food is gorgeous, the service is fantastic and the overall ambience and atmosphere is perfect! We visited for our 3 year anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! There is so much history here, we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great bite to eat with a touch of class and sophistication! Thank you to all of the team at Le Procope! We can’t wait to return at some point in the future!
On the top 5 world around restaurants I have ever been. Starting from the architecture, the place in itself is a piece of history oldest in Paris still in existence, the staff is just high class making sure you feel like a royalty guest, the food the chef prepares is too good to be true, tasty and yet like nothing else I have ever tasted, too delicious. The place is filled with rococo mirrors, old books it is a place for intellectuals. Fabulous restaurant indeed.
Great restaurant with a fascinating history; I liked reading about the space on the first page of the menu. I loved looking around at all of the decor; there's a list of notable people in history that visited or were affiliated with the space near the entrance, and there were cool paintings on the upper floor where my group ate. The food was pretty good from the philosopher's menu.
All food was very tasty. I was able to enjoy the taste and aroma of the food. The cod cream sauce was surprisingly good. The homemade cream I ordered for dessert and the accompanying sauce made a fantastic harmony of flavors. It was my first time to try Escargot, but it was also very delicious.
A friend recommended this place to me, supposedly the oldest restaurant in Paris. The interior of the restaurant certainly gave the vibe of dining in 1800's, which was super cool. We got the Parisian onion soup, Ravioli, Poultry vol-au-vent with morels, and Sirloin steak "Irish cut". Everything tasted great, my only regret was that we were so full and we did not get any dessert.
We had a fantastic time during New Year's Eve dinner. Have been here last year. Typical french cuisine composed of 9 dishes including champagne and wine, well prepared and presented. Dance area with DJ after midnight.
As other says, this establishment is the oldest restaurant in paris and it shows, but not in a good way. Napoleon and other well known figure dined here, which was a good conversation piece. French onion soup was the best and others were decent. Made reservations, but had to wait about 30min, during I just roamed around checking out artifacts, which was fun.
Le Procope is absolutely fantastic and soaked in history. It truly is a stunning restaurant where Napoleon and Benjamin Franklin would visit. If you want traditional and incredible French food, this is the place for you. Oh, did I mention it is the oldest restaurant in Paris? Yeah, it is impressive!
