Man do they sell a variety of breads and pastries. This place is vey popular and for good reason as their baked goods are next level. I bought almond croissants and they are heavy which point to the fact that they are loaded with all the good stuff. Also bought the jalapeno cheddar cheese sticks and again loaded with flavour. I highly recommend Bread head.
It sells out daily by about 12 noon so that's a testimony to how good its sourdough breads & baked goods are. I was there just after 12 and they had 4 loaves left, one a hybrid so got that at half price and a raspberry custard pastry, yum, naughty but nice.
100% quality, 100% delicious, 100% made by skilled people with a real savoir-faire ! You cannot go wrong by visiting Breadhead. It's by far, but really, by faaar, the best bakery in Tauranga/Papamoa/Mount. I had to try so many average bakeries before finding this gem. I tell everyone about it and all the time until they finally get one of these perfect baguettes. The prices are the same than pretty much all other bakeries $$$ but the quality is way better. After being away from France for so long, I really missed all the amazing pastries and breads that are cheap and so good but now that I discovered Breadhead ; it's all good, I don't miss home anymore. Breadhead is like a tiny French enclave in the middle of NZ. Actually, this place is so good, there should be sightseeing bus tours bringing cruise ships' tourists to Breadhead in the summer to show them what good pastries are. Or, wait... this bakery is so good that the French embassy in Wellington should send all homesick French people throughout NZ to Breadhead to get over it. 5 for you guys. You rock it.

The popularity of Breadhead is it's best advertisement. Word of mouth is never wrong. Beautiful bread
Sourdough is fantastic - seeded or miso/tahini are our faves. There is always a queue outside and they sell out fast, so get there early.
The jalapeno bread sticks have no jalapeno! There is no flavour. Why change a good recipe to a mediocre one. Disappointed.

Best French baguettes in all off Tauranga. I'm half French so I know my baguettes people! I'll drive all the way from Papamoa to Breadhead to buy my baguettes. It's so Worth it! Also you can oder online pick up next day etc. Ancient grains loaf is amazing. Staff ate super helpful and friendly. Go to Love Rosie for the Portuguese tarts they are amazing !
Best in Tauranga. No doubt about other comments. If you give a go, u will agree. Luckily my friend recommand it to me, then I found it near VTNZ, no advertising, log so small to pass by. Yummy, I tried everything except seed doughseedless I am, weekend treat for me.
