Dr Ruge is a legend always goes and above and beyond, receptionist Erin is a real top person. The 2 of them always make a 'dreaded Doctors visit' a not so dreadful experience. I cant speak on the other doctors however, so the 5 stars is for the staff named above.

Everytime I visit a certain DR T here, he spends the whole time talking about his medical history and forgets about mine, the consult is always 20 or more minutes and I leave with a wealth of knowledge on his current medical condition and no idea what to do about my medical condition.

Very impressed with this place as they saw me on short notice on Xmas Eve  of all days and were able to help me out. Was very thankful, helped me enjoy Christmas with a bit better health! Was able to do blood test right next door and thought Dr Prasad was very good. Would recommend.

We are so lucky to have Blockhouse Bay Medical Centre. The care is fabulous from the reception, to the nurses, to the doctors. The Centre is always clean and tidy - and a sign of its popularity is that it is a busy place. However the staff keep you updated if anyone is running late. I always feel very well looked after here.

Shocking care. Won't go there again Move out  of there if you are with them

Always very well looked after by Dr Thomson, Dr Shanti, Nurse Ranjita & reception staff are very courteous & helpful

found dr ruge to be a knowledgeable, ready to listen and excellent  practioner although he needs farther development on his sporting expertise. all round a good-enough doctor to be on shortland st.
