Beach Lodge Motel Dunedin

Beautiful stay at Beach Lodge Motel. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me in staying an extra night. Great location next to the beach. I was lucky enough to have fantastic weather so after work each night I could enjoy walks on the beach. Rooms were cozy, clean and had everything I needed. Would recommend and will be back :

I had an enjoyable stay, it is convenient to the Edgar Centre and we were all able to stay at the one location.nThe only things I would suggest is a better mirror in the unit near a light, as the lighting over the mirror in bathroom wasn't great and sometimes being older need to get closer to a mirror with good light. Tissues is always a handy item other than that perfectly accommodating and we will book again for 2 years time.

Roomy unit, older style but clean and tidy. Nice welcome cake.nShower very low pressure. Toilet cistern faulty - water running constantly. Staff friendly. We had a comfortable stay. Quiet.nRooms well serviced every day. Rubbish emptied and fresh towels as needed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were great and had lots of local knowledge to share. Personal touches such as welcome chocolates and a hand written card made us feel welcome. The main room was light, airy and spacious and had a modern feel. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and serviceable but dated. I got the impression that it's work in progress. We stayed in their 3bedroom villa. It was comfortable and the heatpump was quite powerful that it was able to heat the 3 rooms at night. Although there was only 1 bathroom and 1 toilet as stated in their website, it still served its purpose for a place to stay. Staff were lovely and helpful and very customer-oriented had some issues with the villa that they attended to right away. Villa had an ample parking that could fit around 3 cars. I highly recommend this place and would love to book again when we go back to Dunedin.
