We had a shared birthday party at BambuchiSan for myself and my dog Bagel. We absolutely loved the great service, cool atmosphere and delicious food - we want to come back in the new year for more! The restaurant is super dog friendly too which is a bonus! Thank you so much BambuchiSan for helping make our birthdays so special

We love this place for its homey warmth, casual style and smart creativity. Did I say food? The food is honestly great! We loved traveling around the world while sitting at the table, savoring Japanese pancakes, Mexican Testarossa, Canadian salmon pate and Polish mushrooms with buckhead and sour cream.

Really nice ambience in the restaurant and service was excellent. All of the dishes that we tried were perfectly cooked and presentation was excellent. The only complaint and it comes down to personal preference is that I wish the flavours had a little more punch. Small but good drinks selection. Will certainly come back and will be sure to try the wine bar next time. Kid-friendliness: Great children's food offering

Really delicious food and great service. Such a great spot if gluten intolerant like me but my bf loved it too. Definitely not sacrificing anything to be GF as is often the case! And thank you so much for ferry tip after finding out our ferry was cancelled. Went to the port the next morning and queued till we got on!Food: 5/5

Would have been 3 stars if the red bean tart arrived. After being asked if we wanted the rice chips and tart to arrive all together, 40 minutes later we left before it may or may not have arrived. The staff were polite and well mannered, but unfortunately the food portions were small considering the price. We paid for a red bean tart but gave up on waiting for it. We spent $200 and unfortunately I left still hungry.

Tried for the first time. Thought it was really great ! We had fried rice balls amazing balls, karaage chicken , and both items from the sea: fried salmon and fish croquettes. We also tried smashed pavlova dessert. Everything was delicious ! In our rating, rice balls and fish croquettes were absolute favorites! Very crispy, delicious dipping sauce. Karaage chicken came second ! Fried salmon was a very interesting combination! Salmon in general is our fav item on the menu but none of us were fan on fried salmon. However, I want to specify that there was nothing wrong with the taste or presentation of the dish ! Check the pic! It looked great! It was not our fav type of prep for the salmon as we prefer raw or cold smoked. I encourage you to try and make your own opinion. The staff was very friendly and attentive. This place also has a garden. I would rate this place as an awesome and chill spot to have a casual dinner! They also play a live music there occasionally, so why not to try ?!

Hidden gem of Wellington. I definitely feel like this place is underrated, the food is complex and delicious the chef has an amazing understanding when it comes to flavour profiles. You can tell the staff love working here & are so knowledgeable with their selection of wines from all over the world.The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere unmatched to most restaurants here in Wellington. We will be coming back to BambuchiSan soon! Vegetarian options: Order all vegetarian from satay tofu to miso eggplant

A gem of food elegance & taste in this food venue. Whilst you may thi k the dishes are small in size, taste sensation,food fusion & texturez are amazing. Loved it & foodies chefs,cooks in Auckland need to up thier gameseriously great dining...loved everything about it. Vegetarian options: They can cater for vegans easily.

Fantastic little gem. I don't want to review this place so it can be my little secret but they deserve the rave review. Great patio, excellent service and recommendations. Loved the red sangria and the crunch on their chicken wings!
