Nice central bar. Good place to meet. Took my kids there for some fries in the weekend and it wasn't crowded then. Busy in the evenings. On Courtney place which is the night life center of Wellington.

Had a great brunch here. The food was great, especially the ham and eggs croissant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is what made it particularly memorable. They have some a great job of recreating the high country lodge look - impressive attention to detail. Would be a great place for a large group as it's very spacious and has decent seating for groups.

Big portions. Really nice meat and gravy. Service was average but polite. Not the cleanest place. Bathrooms not very nice and out of soap. They were out of the rib eye and didn't have espresso cups. Espresso was cold and they didn't bring any sugar. Summed up food great rest average

One of my favourite places to relax with a whiskey, whether in the cosy confines of the amply stocked bar, or enjoying the fresh air and spectacular views of the hustle and bustle of Wellingtons busy Courtney place from the balcony... In addition, the quality of the food is more then adequate. I happily recommend...!

The chef must be blind can't cook a steak nor could they squid. The quality of the meat is terrible more grissle and fat then eatable meat, you can go to the supermarket and get better quality . They should have paid me to eat there not the other way round

Had lunch at this place and order the chicken burger and the cheese burger. The place itself was dirty and when wiping down tables, crumbs were wiped onto the seats and not cleaned up. Burgers were terrible. The meat patty was heavily charred and a quarter of the size of the bun. Would not recommend this place.

Now Jack Hacketts, with an Irish theme. Came here with a corporate group of approximately 30. We pre ordered. The food arrived as requested and everyone enjoyed their meal. Great !

Best Rib eye sirloin steak in town cooked perfectly lots of delicious sauce, lovely waitress happy to change steamed potatoes to large fries" Have been many times for this dish ,and to try other dishes. great service and whole family love eating here. sirloin was previously served with duck fat roasted potatoes and these were absolutely amazing. Will definitely be coming back again, there is a special price on Monday's for the dinner menu definitely recommended as is my favourite steak pub/ restaurant in town.

Guys the bloke you have on the door at 19:35 22.10.16 was unbelievably rude to me and my partner. We wondered inside the doorway to see if you were playing the rugby. We had 2 shopping bags with us and he told us point blank that 'woe, woe, woe. Where do you think you're going! You can't just come in here with grocerys! What do you think this is' He has upset my wife. Out of line in his manner and this could have easily escalated. He needs to be taken off the front door and someone with a more maturity placed there.

Had a roast meal pork and fount it somewhat mediocre ,no crackling and no apple sauce. Told the barmaid when asked how our meal was and replied it was just ok. She gave us glum looks whenever she passed our table . Even the cooks came out to check us out. Sorry won't be back.
