Frankly it's just a pub...but the difference is that all the staff are incredibly helpful, convivial and focused on service. For the short time I was here I felt attended to, appreciated and was offered the special touches like a blanket due to the wind because the staff were super attentive and considerate.
Lucky I didn't give this place just one star...it is lucky it's staff are friendly and do give good service otherwise I would have. Came in today for a quick bite and some beers. Beer was good, but the fish and chips came so quickly and it was burnt that it must have been sitting under the hotline for a while, this showing it had been cooked a while ago. It tasted terrible, and the chips and coleslaw too. Normally I'd say something but can't be bothered today as just want to enjoy the day. Apart from that would recommend come for a drink as atmosphere is pretty good and can catch the sun outside. But forget the fish and chips....hopefully the other food is better. P.S. I demoted it to two star on second thoughts and I'm so unhappy with the food I'm writing it here in the bar. Not often I write there and then.
Great place to drink beer , good staff. Food choice is deep fried and unimaginative. Don’t bother ordering the salads as they are very sad.
Mac's brewery Shed 22. I've been here a few times with family and friends. The atmosphere, views, and staff are always great. Daughter and dad lunch today, Tiger beer was great. The fish and chips were a bit disappointing, coleslaw was very bland, fish OK chips were good.
I booked a lunch for my birthday for around 20 people . The staff were all amazing, from my first enquiry to when we finally left. , Quite a few of my guests commented about what a fabulous spot it was and how lovely the staff were. And commented on the very yummy pizzas. They all remember it as a great place to have a celebration. So well done Shed 22. Keep up the great work.
Overall rating no star. Had to wait to be seated even with vacant tables, ended up ordering our drinks and meal at counter, drinks all good, food well !!!!!!!!!! Seafood Chowder with the seafood consisting of chopped up mussel and shrimp not sure which is the local seafood as advertised, vegetables and white sauce, Kumara Chips yeah right try Sweet Potato Kumara is Kumara purple in colour not orange as in Sweet Potato Unfortunately for us a place we experience once and don't go back.
Great location right on the waterfront with a scooter park out front which is handy if you're a tourist like me zipping about. Ashamed a lot of the front of the place gets in the shade quite busy because of the way the building is positioned, but otherwise nice and sunny. I had the beef burger or whatever they want to call it which was juicy and tender. Very tasty. Enjoyed some of the newer beers they haven't had as well. It's good to see they have expanded their range of beers beyond their usual old staples.
Had a great experience. The staff were very friendly. The service was awesome from when we arrived, our food came out very quickly and everything we ordered we absolutely enjoyed seafood chowder, Brew Bar Cheeseburger, Mac + cheese bites, buffalo wings and kids stack burger meal which came deconstructed and was a fun activity for my daughter to make her own burger the way she liked it. Meal sizes were very generous and filing. Overall great experience
Staff are great. Would have preferred a fresher salad and tartare sauce, however the fish was good.
We were disappointed by the food quality. It was lacking freshness and it reminded me of mass produced airline food. On top of this, our group was misled by the website which advertised a Thursday special which the store wouldn't honour and instead said it was an old deal more than 6 months old and said that management knows about the ad yet doesn't update it even after complaints from customers. I wouldn't recommend it yet I do acknowledge the location is incredible and the staff were professional and friendly.
