Just returned a car 2 hours late 1:30 pm instead of 11:30 am. This was caused by delays along Lewis Pass and a road closure on SH6. Unbelievable but their penalty was extra $700 for the late return. Difference between a relocate and full rental so be very careful of how this company charges.
The staff were all pleasant, the prices fair, and after leaving a review about leaving my AirPods in the rental, they responded very quickly, found them, and shipped them overnight. Will use definitely them again if I'm back in Nelson. I can't thank Antoine enough for being such a big help!
Car promised wasn't available. Only available car was 2 categories down. No discount offered. Station supervisor was unpleasant. Second star given for the nice young employee who was clearly embarrassed by her boss. I'd steer clear of this station. Budget is my default agency and they are very good almost all of the time - just not in Nelson.
Be aware that they close at 9 even though the last flight to Nelson gets in after 9. I selected the wrong pick up time and they were closed when we arrived. We returned the next morning and they ended up giving us the car for the previously booked rate which was generous. I would have given 5 stars except the lady was kind of mean about it.
The Rental Car was hired on 12th Feb 21 for 4 Full Days and returning the Rental on Tuesday morning but due to the Covid lockdown from Tuesday 16th, we had to come back to Auckland on Monday 2pm and we also returned the car earlier then hired at 1.15pm. The rental car is good but the staff who served us her service was poor. Not helpful at all and if you have any emergency and want to return the Rental earlier they do not give any refunds whereas other rental car companies do give refund for genuine emergency reason
