I wish to share how great I think Avalon Medical Centre is. The staff , medical, nursing and admin are warm, friendly, personable and professional. Over the years they get to know you as a person and treat everyone well. Recently the centre has added an acute clinic, which is visionary in concept. This frees up appointments, for less urgent care, with the hard working GP’s. It also allows the people of this area access to medical care without the premium cost, which is a Godsend for many. Thank you Avalon Medical Centre.
I would give 0 start if I could. My partner went to see the doctor. She was consulted by Dr. Mark Haywood. I went along with her. He was really into his own world. He told her that there is no solution to her medical condition and said just take paracetamol. Is this the advice a qualified doctor should give? He lacked knowledge and just seemed to push the paracetamol talk down our throats. We asked how can we eliminate the issue as it is stopping her from working, but again he said this is very normal but the issue started last year and got worse last month and he said people can have body aches and just take paracetamol. Are you kidding me! If this is the advice we are going to get from a qualified doctor then might as well just google it. Google AI is very smart and will give you far better advice than this.nJust stay away from this doctor.
My son and I are both new patients at Avalon Medical. I was hesitant to join this place due to some negative reviews, but I had enough of my previous gp. I am delighted I switched; no more 2+ hour wait times. The Receptionists, nurse, and doctors were all fantastic.nnMy son did not become irritated or cry while being checked out.nWhich left me stress free and happynnI wish I had come here sooner but better late than never
I don't recommend Doctor Mark Haywood. He will tell you to take paracetamol and there is no solution to your problem.nI went there to know that I need to take paracetamol everyday for the rest of my life. The pain that started a few months ago and it will never go as per doctor Mark Haywood. Because some people have body ache.nHe doesn't want to listen just want to tell take paracetamol. For his information, I don't need spend $20 to know that I need to take paracetamol for the pain. My reason was to be there to eliminate the cause of my problem. As I have ongoing pain in the back of my neck and shoulders which it gets worse when I use my shoulders.nIt was my last visit to Avalon Medical.
If I changed my GP to one at Avalon Medical, they wouldn't let me book in for 20+ days until they have my previous notes.nNot looking to see the GP in regards to anything that has a previous connection, so not relevant, but wouldn't see me anyway.
