Auckland Airport Kiwi Motel

Newly renovated rooms, comfy bed and pillows, the staff were friendly and helpful. The establishment is larger than it looks as it sprawls around the back. Good on-site parking however it was strange to have to bolt the sliding door locked. Added security measure. Newly renovated kitchen too. I'd stay again.Rooms: 4/5

Everything was as expected. Air conditioning was perfect, the showers were hot. We were greeted by a clean room. We stayed two nights and had asked for a service on the next day but when we returned to our room the milk had not been topped up. We had to go out to get milk. Other than that, it was lovely and quiet.Rooms: 5/5

If I could give no stars i would. Room 302. We left after the first night despite booking for 2 nights. Of main concern was the fact that the shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold without you touching it at all. I will be reporting this to worksafe. They knew my preschool daughter was with me and luckily I had a shower before her. She would have had scalding burns. It was not fit for purpose and was extremely dangerous! The whole place gives you the Eww vibes. The duvet inners were stained and had no covers. Just a sheet under & over them. No tee towel. No can opener! Never been to such a woefully unequipped motel such as this. After sleeping in that bed, not being able to shower it just stuffed up the whole weekend which was in celebration of my daughter's birthday. The heat pump sounded so loud and bad, other guests mentioned it. There is no sky as advertised. In fact it was not set up properly and was unwatchable. Yet they advertise sky channels. Its a lie. There are no places to hang any towels anywhere. There were dirty fingerprints everywhere. Rubbish under the beds, it really was revolting. You could not close the bathroom window from the inside due to no latch. You had to go outside and push it closed. It was an absolute dive and we felt like disinfecting ourselves after leaving. Worst motel I have ever stayed at. The hotel side looked just as bad. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Didnt stay cause fully booked out but ate at the restaurant as it was close by. Service was standoffish and meals were reasonably priced but not overly enjoyable. Ordered pork ribs with buttered veges and potatoes.... got tough ribs, salad and wedges. Chicken dish was suppose to be creamy mushroom sauce with veges. Was tastey but no mushrooms and best bit was veges. Never again sorry!

The cleanliness of the room was questionable but fit my budget. 5 stars to Miss Shayal for being exceptionally warm and welcoming as well as assisting me with correcting some bad planning on my part. She was wonderfulRooms: 2/5

As per previous review, booked months ago only for booking to be cancelled day of check in. Bit of a scam going on with their sister hotel down the road "accommodating" us with a room the same price but much worse than we were supposed to get here. Other guests I spoke to at the sister hotel Airport Gateway hotel had the same problem. Definitely avoid, especially if it's around the time of a big event in Auckland.

Booked months in advance, called in the morning to confirm booking, said it was all booked, cancelled before we arrived. Would never ever stay here. Must be trying to cash in on people going to Pink. AVOIDRooms: 1/5

Customer service from the guy doing check in Oct 16 was seriously lacking but the night receptionist was great. We stayed in the family room for 1 night only, it was spacious and clean enough. It had the basics and the beds were comfortable. Body wash was broken and hanging off the shower wall and we only got two towels for four of us. Otherwise an ok place, you pay for what you get.

DO NOT STAY HERE. DISGUSTING! UNSAFE! I know it’s cheap but just don’t do it- and if you do then check your ‘clean’ bed linen first. I can’t select 0 stars but I would I give it -5 stars. When we first arrived it seemed fine. As our stay went on, the sliding doors were not in fact sliding. I got stuck in the bathroom because the door wouldn’t open and it’s broken. I just about acquired a hernia trying to open and close these doors. I cleaned the toilet seat with toilet paper and the toilet paper came off dirty. The shower was scummy, bugs everywhere. No latch on the kitchen window so we can’t close it, and it’s hanging wide open with no security. Dirty frying pan in the kitchen cupboard. Main light doesn’t work, only the lamp. Hopped into the single bed to find two dirty socks from the previous guest. Hopped into the double bed to find various long hair around it. Upon further inspection pulled back my covers to discover fresh blood stains on my duvet, a yellow and brown stained mattress protector, blood on the mattress and a whole heap of other suspicious stains. Called the hotel, they gave us linen and we had to make the beds ourselves. Forgot to give us more duvets so had to go back and get them. They didn’t take the dirty blood stained linen so we’re sleeping in the room with all of that. New linen smelt heavily of bleach and mustiness. Only got a “sorry” for this, nothing else. The entire place feels revolting. I don’t want to touch anything. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
