Art Cafe

Classic diner serving your all day brekkie, sammies, burgers, a few pasta dishes, and then the seemingly out of place Malaysian additions. Feels like a house that's still a decade or two old, mostly from the old desktop computers for $2 internet usage and old tables and chairs. There's paintings along the wall and various other things to look at, possibly even buy? The ladies are nice and excited in their own way, and then the food was pretty decent matching what we had expected.

Some of the best breakfast food that we’ve had! The prices are fair and the portions are huge. Everything that we’ve tried is absolutely delicious and the owners are a delight!

Neat little cafe in Rotorua. All day breakfast goes down a treat with the well made coffee. Seems easy enough to find a park outside. Cabinet food is also available. No wifi available unfortunately, and they didnt have a NZ herald available when I visited on a Saturday. Still worth a 5 star vote.

Lovely little cafe. The staff/owners are really nice. Make you feel incredibly welcome. Good hearty food.

When you are in Rotorua, do drop by at Art Cafe! A very chiled and relaxed cafe with a homy vibes. Food is delicious and chocoloate drink great!

Lovely hidden gem, has lots of breakfast all day specials, but we went to the Malaysian/Singaporean dishes and curries which were fantastic and very authentic. Owner very nice and had a great chat with her. Definitely recommend!

Great little Cafe next a backpackers hostel. Handy to CPD, Information Centre and Government Gardens. Basic old world type food. Really good value. Priced well for what you get. Can't recommend enough.

Food was good value for money but hygiene was below average. I had a strand of black hair in my breakfast. When I let the lady know, instead of just replacing it which she did, she went on to say it couldn't be from the cook because he was blonde. And then said she doesn't touch the food so it wasn't hers either. Even though she wasn't, it came across as if she was saying it was mine. The waiter had black hair so it could've been his, I didn't really care WHO'S it was. I just felt that was in bad taste. Also the glasses were filthy underneath. They have a groove in the bottom which obviously never gets cleaned. Thankfully the insides were clean but I still couldn't stomach drinking from them because looking through to the bottom was very off-putting. I HIGHLY recommend you change those glasses because those minor things would make a huge difference as your front counter service and value and quality of food that we ordered was great.
