We often stay overnight in Hanmer and decided to try Alpine Garden Motel, we were not dissapointed. Made the booking over the phone for next day, the lady who answered was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in studio room which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Also good having a deck if wish to sit outside.  Rooms: Studio was well appointed and spotlessly clean.  Walkability: Close to pools and restaurants.

Excellent location, friendly staff, wonderful amenities! Be sure to read the welcome manual to learn about all the hidden benefits, like full-service laundry and free milk. If Wi-Fi is important to you, try to get a low-numbered room near reception. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Indi the Dog!Rooms: 5/5

The room was nice & clean. We could easily cook meals in the in-room kitchen. The motel also provided complimentary beach towels for use at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools. I would definitely stay here again.Location: 5/5

Had a superb 2 night stay here this weekend! Really clean & tidy, only a short walk to the pools and all amenities. The managers were amazing too, incredibly friendly and accommodating. Best place to stay in Hanmer, will definitely be coming back! 10/10Rooms: 5/5

We ended up having a few setbacks on our holiday as my husband had put his back out. Our stay at alpine gardens was great though thanks to the friendliest hosts we could have hoped for. They did everything they could to try and help and really  made us feel welcome.

Very comfortable rooms and friendly knowledgeable hosts. Units are clean and spacious with excellent facilities and personal touches like chocolates on the bed. Small milk is provided as well as tea, plunger coffee and hot chocolate powder. Makeup remover wipes, shampoo and body wash are provided as is linen. Beds are soft clean and warm and heaters and blankets are provided if needed for winter. Sky TV gives extra channels, although you don't end up spending too much time here because walks and pools have you out much of the day. Really peaceful setting at the end of town. Large garden with picnic tables, clothes line for drying swimming costumes and swings for small children. Easy walk to the pools and shops. Would love to stay again.
