Tussock Peak is a small 14 room motel in Hanmer Springs. Here at Tussock Peak we offer affordable luxury close to the heart of the village. At Tussock Peak nothing is too far away; the world renowned hot pools are a short hop across the road. The village has many fantastic bars and restaurants all with in 5 minutes walk of the motel. Hanmer springs is a gateway to the great New Zealand outdoors. Mountain biking, tramping and just about every adventure sport that New Zealand is famous for are all within easy reach of the village.

What a lovely place! The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The room we reserved has a queen bed, a single bed, and a very comfortable sofabed which felt amazingly like a real queen bed! The kitchen has a microwave, a fridge, and kitchenware no stove top for cooking. The staff was friendly. It is in walking distance to the hot springs in town can get towels from hotel, too and a bunch of restaurants. It's also in walking distance to several amazingly beautiful trails! Overall, we were more than happy with our room and the hotel. We highly recommend this place!
What a wonderful place to stay. We had the two bedroom apartment and it was perfect. There was four adults and two kids for two nights. We wished we had booked for longer. The location was amazing, staff recommendations for food and activities perfect. And the time where clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!! Walkability: It was so central we only used the car once the whole time we stayed there!!! As we could walk to all the main attraction and eateries.
Clean and tidy facilities, well appointed room with nice bathroom. Free towels for use at the hot pools. Excellent location. Eco-friendly establishment. Staff friendly and helpful. Booking process booked direct with Motel via email smooth and easy.
We got a warm welcome from the staff. We were there to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and there was a bowl of chocolate treats for us in the room together with a note regarding our anniversary. Our room was a studio but spacious and warm and had all we needed. We would recommend them to friends and would have no hesitation in staying with them again.
Absolutely wonderful stay, with very friendly and helpful staff, clean and bright rooms, and very close to the hot springs and spa, which is a great bonus. I really appreciated the freely available Netflix too, makes for a cosy evening. :D I would definitely stay here again!Rooms: 5/5
Spent a very pleasant weekend in Hanmer with friends. We all stayed at Tussock Peak. The facilities were excellent, the service superb - the lady manager was organised for any eventuality and made our stay effortless. Thanks - we'll be back !
