Alpine Adventure Holiday Park

About

A beautiful Holiday Park in forest setting, from budget non-powered cabins to fully furnished chalets, along with picturesque camping ground. Something for everyone, famillies, couples, and all budgets. Close to Hanmer Springs pools and restaurants.

"Welcome to Alpine Adventure Holiday Park, your family holiday destination in Hanmer Springs in the beautiful unspoiled South Island of New Zealand. Situated just 2.5km outside the town in a quiet, bush-clad valley at the foot of Jack’s Pass, the park is set on the site of an historic staging post once used by drovers and musterers bringing stock through to Molesworth Station. Even today this is still the largest working farm in the South Island High Country of New Zealand. We are pleased to offer a large range of Hanmer Springs Accommodation options to suite all tastes and budgets. The park boasts the best facilities around including a pool, games room, adventure playground, bikes and more."

Quite simply the best camp I have ever stayed in. Back to nature with a lot of comfort, and super service from Allan and his A-Team staff. Spotless facilities, gorgeous surroundings to the accompaniment of bell-bird song. Bliss! Absolutely value for money. You are missing out on something special if you stay anywhere else.Rooms: 5/5
I had an amazing experience at Alpine Adventure Holiday Park. The park is situated in a stunning location at the base of historic Jacks Pass, surrounded by native and exotic forest. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the facilities were clean and comfortable. I stayed in a chalet with a private bathroom that had a cozy fireplace and a sofa bed. The park has a lot of activities for everyone, such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, zip-lining, and bungee jumping. I loved the scenic chairlift ride and the games room. The park also has a seasonal outdoor pool and barbecue facilities, and a restaurant that serves tasty food and drinks. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the wildlife in the park, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure in nature.
I love this place and would rave about it to anyone. The rooms are toasty warm, lovely big thick thermal curtains, the bedding is so luxurious even in the cabins. Feather pillows, and feather duvets, and the sheets are great. The service is outstanding. Free DVDs, very friendly service.Rooms: 5/5
Last minute stay, they welcomed us and set us up super fast which was great when we just wanted to sleep. Thank you so much, lovely place to be and good price for the area too :
Made a last minute plan and booked in a caravan for the night. Loved the option for camping or caravan/cabin. Good shared facilities. Byo cooking items and whatnot - but can borrow if needed from reception. Staff helpful and even though out of town can still access town and hikes!
Upon arrival, we are very happy on the check in procedure, the campsite for our campervan has been allocated to us, and a brief explanation was given on the nearby amenities. A short drive to the oval campsite at slow speed as there is a few children cycling and running around having the time of their life, after reversing into the allocated lot, we are impressed with the sheer amount of greenery and trees, we were a bit apprehensive on the sandflies during dusk and dawn, but they are no where to be found. The toilet and shower is well kept and clean despite running nearly at full capacity, being nearby the playground did somewhat affect our early rest, but the playtime was soon stopped due to dinner time I guess. We got up early and washed up as we got a long drive ahead of us, but both of us are happy that we got a nice quiet nights rest and nice warm shower to freshen up, the only downside is the campground space is rather small compared to other site we have visited, but luckily we are having a small Jucy campervan. Will definitely recommend anyone to come and visit.
Very friendly gentleman on the desk, room was very toasty when we entered as heat pump was on .Only problem was there was vety little pressure in the showerRooms: 5/5
Very welcoming and the facilities are the best compared to any other. There is also times in the toilets. Playground was a winner and the staff are very accomodating. If you are in the area this is where you want to stay!
Since 2016, my family and I have travelled from all over New Zealand to celebrate Christmas at Alpine Adventure Holiday Park. Alan has always made us feel a part of the AAHP extended family - even though he sees us only every two years. The camp is well-maintained, affordable, and the staff friendly and attentive. We love coming back, and hope to for many years to come. We stay in chalets which are perfect for extended families due to their close proximity to one another. They all have full kitchens and bathrooms, as well as plenty of living space in which to spread out. Our elderly parents stay in their caravan on a powered site nearby. We're a mix of older folks, young families, singles and couples with no kids and we all feel catered for. I'm so glad that AAHP is a part of my family's traditions!
Such a great place to stay in Hanmer hence the review. Alan was very welcoming and jovial on arrival. We had a powered site amongst lovely trees and chose our site. Everything was spotlessly clean. Had a lovely hot shower. I can only speak highly of this camp and certainly cheaper than the other two. Our small dog was welcomed with usual rules. Excellent camp ground. Thank you.
