Using the service few times on short trips, I never had any issues. On time, clean car and polite drivers. The 13cabs app is handy to book online allowing my location which also shows the taxi on the map similar to Uber. Probably, the service improving but the Corolla hatchback seems less spacious to me.
We used this taxi company several times on our trip to Hobart. The drivers were friendly and helpful. Service was great. Always cane quickly. Couldn't ask for more.
The cab arrived only a short time after being ordered. The driver was courteous and engaged in conversation. The route taken was direct and the fare very reasonable. Would use again without hesitation
Don't trust this company. They double charged me through the app + the driver. Nobody feels responsible. Nobody is answering several emails I wrote or calls I made. I don't understand how such a company can legally operate in a civilized country.
My wheelchair bound brother had booked a maxi taxi to take him home from the shops today, they did not turn up, my sister and I made many calls to them and they told me the driver went there and no one was there, he was sitting at the door waiting as it was raining so bad, no maxi taxi went past, they told my sister the driver was on another job, they said that the driver was on his way and would call him when they are close, my brother waited 3 hours and had no other way home as he is in a wheelchair and the other companies were booked out and one other one refused to do the trip as it's too short. This is a regular problem with this company leaving our vulnerable ppl stranded and as he is disabled then it doesn't matter!!! What was also bad is the lies from the company every time we called and a different answer each time we called. Don't recommend using this company and after reading the other comments I definitely don't get how they are still operating.
We got a cab to the botanical gardens in Hobart from the grand chancellor and cost $9.50. After the event we attended , the cab drivers were asking $35 to $50 upfront to go anywhere, even only back to the grand chancellor. Myself, my wife and two young children were knocked back 5 times because our trip was too short and if we wanted the trip it was going to cost us $35 to $50. Our booked cab finally turned up can number 040 and he seen us and asked where we wanted to go and he even denied us the trip. Fortunately a Good Samaritan was willing to pay the outrageous rip off fee and told us to jump in with him. If it wasn’t for him we would have had to walk back in the dark with our 2 young children. This behaviour is from the cab drivers is outrageous and disgusting turning down a family in need and utterly un-Australian! Not that any of the drivers were from Australia. We felt as if we was in Bali bidding a price just to get our kids home safely. Thank you 13scabs
0 stars. Tried to get a taxi from Hobart airport to Rokeby with my 9 month old baby. First taxi wouldn’t take me because I “had too much stuff” a pram which fits in the back of my polo, carryon bag and a car seat in which the baby would sit and he had a gas cylinder in the boot of his car which took up space …??? The second driver didn’t even give me a reason, just said no. Probably too much of a potential he’d have to get his bum off the seat and lift a small bag into the boot. Bear in mind all my luggage fit very comfortably in a polo! Thankfully Uber came to the rescue. Won’t be attempting to use a taxi in the future
That is the worst taxi service! We booked a taxi with lift around 11:30am for the afternoon. And no taxi came on time. The staff a lady who picked up the phone told me, even you booked a taxi, it doesn’t means you can get a taxi. Then, why I booked a taxi in two hours advance? We had to wait half an hour in the pouring rain and cancelled the taxi! The lady was so rude and it was not her first time to be so rude for the clients!
The worst company because they recruit bad employees, do not follow Australian traffic rules, violation in the city almost caused accidents, the driver even made insulting remarks. For your life safety, avoid the service from Indian driver in this company.
Originally thought a taxi waiting there already can better guage if they can fit all my luggage. Hence took a 13 Cab from airport to nearbyless than 10mins to collect my campervan and the driver charged me a total of $52.50. He held the machine at a angle and I thought I saw $25, relatively still okay with Uber charging around $17. Ask the locals and they confirmed I was just ripped off. Contacted the company for a week now with no reply. Totally don't recommend 13 Cab if you ever visit Tasmania.
