Booked a taxi a day in advance for a 5:30am pickup in Mackay to the airport, was given a booking reference number. Taxi never arrived, called just after 5:30am to be told there was a shortage of staff and we would be put on a priority list. I asked for a call back to advise of wait time. We were late to the airport after calling family to take us and couldn’t check in our luggage, which had to be left behind in another state to where we live. Very disappointed. Got a call just before 8am from the taxi driver asking if we still wanted our booking, two and a half hours after booking time!
I booked a taxi with you guys last night in between 6-7pm to be picked up by 2am from a bus stop. Now I don't know what time your operating hours are because you don't get to talk to anyone when you call, you talk to a smart responder. Came 2:30am, in 6 degrease outside with no shelter around, and the tracking website provided was STILL finding me a taxi. Terrible, POOR service. I'll happily give my money to any other taxi service besides this one, even if they are dearer, at least they'll be there at the set time
Booked a maxi taxi for an airport drop off three days in advance. No confirmation came before the pick up, took me 15 minutes to try to get through to someone on the phone to see if someone was coming. When I got through to someone, he said he'll send someone now, so no one would have come if I didn't ring to confirm. Also I booked an 11 seater but only an 8 seater turned up
Never use these guys! Made the mistake of calling a Cab instead of using Uber. AirPods fell out of my pocket onto the seat. I have been watching them all day on find my phone and have spoke to 13cabs 4 times, yet no one will help. I liked the idea of using an established business like 13 cabs as opposed to Uber, but the terrible service and lack of communication has now turned me away. Uber drivers care because it’s their car and their reputation.
Cab drivers are hit or miss, but 13CABS rarely seems to be concerned about the increasing level of misses. No-shows, shortage of cabs with no app indication, wonky booking system, non-metered rides from drivers without asking followed by overcharging, drivers refusing fare if I don't cancel the app booking and use the in-taxi system... the list of shifty tactics just keeps expanding. I get half-price fares thank you NSW Government so it works out as quicker than Uber/Didi for me, but I still end up using the rideshare options thanks to the issues with cab drivers. To their credit, 13CABS investigators acted on the driver fixed-fare overcharge issue, but the key service of actually getting drivers to customers is still atrocious. Do yourself a favour if you're a regular rider - if you find a few drivers you like, get their direct contact numbers. They'll usually be happy to take direct fare bookings since they don't have to pay 13CABS off the top for the booking fee and will end up more reliable than 13CABS for both service and contactability. In the majority of cases the drivers are great but the 13CABS service is often deficient for both them and the customers.
It was disappointing that this taxi firm is no different from uber. Ricks up at Newcastle Airport, press to request a taxi Danial would be the driver when Danial arrived he asks me where to, I advise. He then informs me “no not you, I have another booking”. He asks the man behind me which I had to show how to use the request cab button where he was going. As his journey was longer, Danial then yes “yes, you are my booking”. Well he has obviously never met a scorned Scottish woman before! Ridiculous service. If I could give zero stars I would!
Arranged a cab with baby seat to collect us at 6.40pm on 3rd September 2022. 6.40 came and went, they never arrived! Myself and my 1year old baby, left standing in the freezing cold waiting 20minutes for the cab! We tried ringing over and over, no answer ofcourse! Not happy, do not recommend EVER! Worst cab service ever.
My mother has a DVA Gold card, so is entitled to transport for medical appointments. This usually means 13 Cabs are sent. Trouble is, they turn up at least half an hour too early for the appointment every single time! My mother has health issues that make sitting around in a waiting room full of sick people half an hour longer than she needs to far less than optimum. We have asked DVA if we can have an arrival time for the transport and were told no, the transporter works out the arrival time themselves based on the kilometres they need to travel. Well no, no they don’t, and it’s putting my mother’s health at risk. Lift your game, 13 Cabs! It’s about the DVA client’s convenience- not yours!
Had to cancel my cab due to it not showing up 20 minutes after it’s booking not even having one accept the trip. After booking the cab in a week’s advance very disappointed and won’t use ever again.
Do not offer a pre booking service if you can’t deliver. You are provided contact details for a reason therefore you can update someone if you’re running late. With service like that no wonder Uber and other services are the go to option
