Yakiniku Yokocho
"Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, Yakiniku Yokocho is an authentic BBQ restaurant that reflects the Japanese night life culture of eating, drinking and hanging out in narrow lanes in the midst a bustling city. The name 'Yokocho' refers to the narrow alleyways found throughout Japan where locals gather to enjoy great food and drink. Tucked away downstairs in Regent Place, Yakiniku Yokocho offers an exotic and retro ambience, just like the hidden alleyways found in Japan."

A nice atmosphere and good food. Love that they have some more usual meats such as beef tripe, chicken giblets and chicken soft bone which is not normally found in other yakiniku restaurants. They also have a good variety of alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic alternatives. I like the range of high ball they have. The portion size are just right. The staff are polite. The ventilation is also good.
A Japanese grill with a reasonable selection of choices on meat, vegetables, and drinks for grill barbecue. It is located right next to the escalator in the plaza. You must obtain a ticket for lining up to get seated. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but I would highly suggest doing so if u would like one. Be noted of the beer you ordered. we got the small size ones for our first orders and didn't realize that until we ordered the third one, seeing the large size difference
Japanese BBQ in the lower level of Regent place. You will need to put your name down on a queue list before they open ... The restaurant is bigger than what you can see up front so there should be a good chance to get in even if there's a moderately big line... It's safer if you have a booking. The food is fine. You order things on a computer. I liked the drinks, but I was also thirsty to begin with. There's a 90 minute limit to eat on the table and there's a timer on the computer.
worst experience ever. 1. If a restaurant can't find a working spoon, then don't serve rice and soup. 2. The first time I saw this kind of restaurant. the grill net burned out, the grill net was charged to changed to charge. Isn't that requisite part of every barbecue shop? 3. A BBQ restaurant that serves only a thin layer of pathetic sauce and charges extra if you finish it. 4. Count down from the moment you walk in the door. If you want to drive people away, don't open a restaurant.
The food it’s great as always, I have been to this place a few times before it closed for renovation and yesterday I was there with my friends for lunch, I booked at 1.30pm and arrived on time because I knew they have the rule 75 minutes order time and 1.5 hours sitting time but at 2.35pm they already gave me the bill and said the time was finished but I and my friends we were still drinking and eating then I asked one of the waitress I think we still have time to order and one waitress or manager I’m not sure she came to the table and had that very bad attitude and she was very rule to me and my friends said “ I will give you last order!! “ with her grumpy face like we did something wrong we paid over $1,000 yesterday by cash as they preferred OMG!! I haven’t seen who’s working as a hospitality so rule like this ever. Very bad service!! I never had the problem with this place before because the previous staffs were so nice and friendly but not yesterday!!
Waited for the queue nearly 2hours because of dinner rush time. The meat quality was also good. The service was fast and handy, where we can input our order by ourselves through the iPad provided on the table. The menu didn’t have much variety compared to other places but good experience.
One of my favourite places for grilled meat! Though the queues looks bad sometimes hut its usually only 30-45mins?In terms of food, the Yuke, ox tongue and ribs is a must try! The drinks are also nicely flavoured more towards sweet. Cash payments were 10% discount.Recommended dishesChicken Karaage, Pork Ribs, BBQ Meat, Beef Short
A very good place for BBQ with reasonable price in CBD. The wagyu beef dishes are tender and juicy, and are perfectly marinated to eat with rice. The side sauce however not really impressive, but over all it's a good place for BBQ. The service is fast and attentive, and the restaurant has private spaces for groups
Amazing Japanese BBQ with quality fresh meat and yummy side dishes. I recommend the rib eye beef, ox tongue and yuke. Could do better on the zucchini portions otherwise very quick service and lively atmosphere. There is a queue during peak times so be prepared for a bit of a wait but it’s worth it!Recommended dishesBBQ Meat, Wagyu
The flavor is not bad, but not supreme as well. The customer service is not good. The meat is fresh. We came on 12.26, they informed us there is a holiday charge 15%, not that good but still acceptable. Then came in the bill, they charge another 10% service charge based on meal price + holiday charge. Definitely mathematical genius!! Also very overpriced!!
