I had a great experience here with my experience. We were the only group in the restaurant tbh. It was a Monday night so yeah. Excellent customer service. A lil bit pricey but definitely a fun experience.
We paid for the banquet, $60 pp I believe. The food is mediocre, though I don't think anyone should expect spectacular food from tepenyaki. The amount and quality of the food though is definitely not worth the price we paid. Service is good and the showmanship of the chef is great though.
Good entertainment for a meal. We opted for the banquet but the focus is more on the show provided by the chef than the food served. Chef was great in providing entertainment.
We arrived there and it was almost empty, usually not a great sign but we didn’t really mind as we were celebrating a birthday. There is no music whatsoever and therefore no atmosphere at all. The place could be awesome, being underground and with brick wall but when it’s empty and no music it really is not great. Show started and finished after about 30min, never ever had dinner that quick. There is very little food for the price you pay and the menu is divided between the two chefs working at the same time. I thought that our chef could have cooked the entire menu in front of us. But instead they divide so it only takes about 30min to do everything. Would not recommend to be honest, no atmosphere, not enough food, one of the two chefs didn’t speak English. Also it was for a birthday dinner and no one made a comment a did something extra. Not even acknowledged. No wonder why it was almost empty ..
Great fun, event style dining. Had a wonderful time with a large family group that was comfortably accommodated. Great service and interaction. Food was very nice, but quantity can't feel lacking, I would recommend the bigger options when going, but you're really paying for the fun factor.
Great food and excellent staff, took the kids along and the staff treated them very well with fun around the grill. This place is super fast , literally in and out in 50 minutes inclusive of the dessert and full banquet selection. Let’s also be clear you’re going for the food and some fun , the decor looks like it was found on the side of a street and the light in the place is terrible. Good speedy night out !!
$58 for chicken and beef, the menu was changed and you now get less food for more $. We had the menu for 6 persons and the dinner was over after 35 minutes, felt like an express lunch at work. You get a lot of good food in that area and it was a major disappointment really. Was our third time at Ichiban and certainly our last.
If I could I would rate a zero. Our meal was atrocious, infact I have never had such a bad meal out in my life. The quality of the food was terrible, the way it was cooked was horrible and the chef used the same sauces and condiments for every single item so it all tasted the same and terrible flavors. Then on top of that it cost a lot! Do not go here. I repeat do not go here. Oh and not accessible to anyone in a wheelchair or that has difficulty with stairs.
This has always been our go to tepanyaki restaurant for the last few years as they were reasonably priced and the chefs and customer service were excellent although I went last night for my birthday with a group of 10 friends and was extremely disgusted with with the customer service and price rises. We were waiting 45 mins for our chef to start cooking and when we asked why it was taking so long the manager just said “don’t complain”. We saw other people turn up after us and still get served before us. The prices for the set menus have gone up $20 and they no longer serve miso soup or salad which was previously included in the set menus. I will never go back here and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone every again!!!!
Food is ok, more about the entertainment. Great for big groups and the end of the day of a team building activity. We opted for the $60 set menu and while it didn't disappoint, we enjoyed the atmosphere.
