I want to share my horrible experience with this restaurant on Monday 10th at around 10:30 am. My family went in for breakfast hoping to get the Berry Muesli yogurt breakfast for my daughter as posted on the Chit Chat breakfast menu on the website. I was informed by the waitress who served our table that they have discontinued that item ( while it remains posted on the website). Again I asked if they could have my mushrooms and spinach in my breakfast diary free since I am lactose intolerant,(again the website says it caters to dietary requirements). The waitress said sorry but our mushrooms and spinach in that item are already pre-cooked in butter. When settling the bill I asked if they would honor a senior discount since I am a senior citizen and showed my senior card to the same waitress, she told me that Chit Chat does not honor senior discounts but I had to pay a 10% surcharge because it was a public holiday. I paid the bill since I did not want to spoil the day with my family. I ended up paying money for a horrible breakfast which neither myself or my husband or daughter enjoyed. I will never go there again.... disappointment senior citizen in Berwick

Excellent service, friendly and efficient. Great menu- something a bit different from all the other standard cafe fare and food is beautifully prepared and presented. And all this for slightly less than what other places charge. Well done management!! Keep this up and we'll make this our regular spot and bring the masses with us. We highly recommend the Scottish breakfast!
