It’s had a great feel, good vibe, but there seems to be something lacking, it was very hard to put my finger on it! The place is excellent, nice table spacing, good sections for diners, great decor. If I knew I would tell you but can’t put a pulse on why. First time this has happened to me.nnCustomer Service:*****nVery attentive and timely! Was greeted very well, attentive to our needs and was gracious to our need for conversation and delay. This was not deliberate - just catching up Our order was taken promptly and without error.nEntree delivered within 8 minutes with our mains delivered 8-10 minute afterwards. Mealnwas checked by both the Rep and Manager which was surprising but nice - he did it with others too - great to seenOverall Excellent! could not fault!nnFood:*****nOrder: Flaming Saganaki, Trio of Gnocchi, Calamari & Butter Chicken.nFlaming Saganaki: it was rich, flavourful and perfectly cooked! The flaming presentation was great too. It’s a big serve, best shared with 3+nTrio of Gnocchi: This was a surprise! All the Gnocchi was freshly made but the compliments of fresh pumpkin, spinach, tobasco and the sun dried tomato’s really blended the flavours well. The sauce is delicious, but this is a heavy dinner, great portion size and excellent dish.nCalamari: Calamari was not the least bit rubbery and the seasoning over the crumbed finish was excellent, the chips were perfectly crispy but soft on the inside and the salad was fresh and tasty.nButter Chicken: Presentation alone was excellent see photos. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The butter curry sauce lacked some spicy heat to the tongue, but was incredibly tasty nonetheless. This dinner was a mixers delight! All was amazing and the combinations of the roti, yogurt, rice and chicken was just fun to mix and swap as you were eating.nnOverall:*****nHighly Recommend! I have read a vast array of reviews here but my experience here over a few visits has always been highly rated. This experience was again, excellent. A solid go-to place for casual catch-ups.nnPlenty of tables inside and outside, and super easy to tee up a booking or walk in.nnThey have a really big menu with something for everyone, very kid-friendly. Heaps of drinks to select from, from alcoholic, to smoothies, to decent coffees.nnI like to frequent this joint for book club meetings or after-school catch-ups, with just a bowl of wedges or a pull-apart bread, both of which are perfect to chat over.nnWhen you leave, do check out their dessert cabinet and snag a slice of cake before you leave the slices from whole cakes are better than the mini desserts - in my opinion!. They’re $10-12, but extremely yummy, with many flavours to choose from.nnOne thing I’ll miss is the QR-code booking system. It was super easy to navigate and browse the menu, so I hope they bring this back!
A good vibe restaurant with below par food. Tried breakfast burger, which is quite basic with bread, scrambled eggs and baconnBread was so dry for a Turkish bread , eggs were not seasoned at all.nAlso please serve food in a plate so it’s easy to eat than a wooden boardnnThe coffee was good and the ambience of the place is nice
The Main Café Bar Restaurant in Berwick left me unimpressed. The coffee was decent but nothing memorable, and the flavour didn’t live up to the presentation. The corn fritters were a miss; soggy and lacking any real texture, and the halloumi came out pale instead of golden and crispy.nnThey do have a huge range of cakes that look fantastic, but sadly, looks were the theme of the meal; everything appeared better than it tasted. Disappointing overall, and I don’t think I’ll be back.
From the minute I stepped in, I felt welcome. The staff were very friendly and the cake and coffee, omg amazing. I ordered the lemon, lime and pear tart with an oat latte, the tart was delicious, perfect balance of citrus and sweet, and the coffee was nice and strong. I will definitely be returning.
