Set in the Old Berwick Primary School on the edge of Pioneers Park

Story

Primary @ Pioneers Park was established as a cafe 8 years ago when the old Berwick Primary school relocated. The building was to be demolished and the surrounding area zoned for more shops and car parking but the local residents and the national trust fought to keep the building and have this beautiful park constructed on the site. Parts of the building are original and are heritage listed. There is a small gift shop situated in one of the original class rooms that is run by the National trust society.
The City of Casey maintain the park and the playground and they do a fantastic job keeping the park always looking its best.

I am a regular visitor to Primary, and I always enjoy my experience. It is my go-to cafe in Berwick.nnThe atmosphere is perfect for a brunch/lunch with friends. On a sunny day, the outdoor seating is nice, but when it is cooler I prefer the indoor area.nnAs for the food, I am a big fan of the Calamari a must try!, the Steak Sandwich and the burgers. The wedges are a great side dish, and come in a very generous portion.nI have also tried a variety of the drinks, I quite like the hot chocolate and iced chocolate.nnThe staff are very friendly and welcoming, all-in-all it is a great experience every-time! I highly recommend, and will come again soon! 9.5/10

My dad and I came here for brunch and we’re really blown away by how delicious the food was! The staff here are incredibly thoughtful, kind and friendly. Our waitress Helen was so patient with our indecisiveness. Helen recommend the pancakes to us and… they were the best pancakes of my life! I kid you not!! Perfect texture, phenomenal caramel sauce, Biscoff biscuits, and fresh banana slices.nnThe atmosphere and decor is delightful and the staff even more so. There’s also a lovely gift shop with very sweet and welcoming ladies, who volunteer there.nnPerhaps my most favourite cafe! I recommend!

We had a lovely experience here meeting up with friends for Sunday brunch. We didn't book so waited for about 15 minutes in a queue which did move quite quickly. Friendly happy staff who seem to work well in a very busy place. The indoor seating can get quite noisy and one of the indoor rooms echoes so we chose to move to the outdoor tables so we could hear each other. We all enjoyed the meals we had and the coffee was good. Price was on par with most cafes. Large carpark across the road and clean amenities. Recommend

Such an amazing cafe with beautiful scenery!nThis is a great go to place with friends, families and even pets.nThe service here is amazing with regular check ins and ensuring the quality is of the expected standards.nnCoffee and food is amazing and has never been a let down.nnChilli cheese hot dog and potato rosti stack w/ salmon were both yummy and we ended up finishing it like all other previous meals.nnAlways enjoy coming here and thank you team for being great and inviting
