The Berwick Inn Hotel was established in 1857, originally known as the Border Hotel and was an important community meeting centre and major staging post en route to the gold fields of Gippsland.

The hotel’s heritage listing and ambiance makes it an icon of the local area.

The venue itself was great, we sat in the area away from the main hall. I think it was called the ‘Common Room’.nWe visited for a birthday dinner with my family.nYou can order directly from your website table via QR code, but we found that to be tedious and ordered our drinks and food from the bar itself in the main area.nThe bar service was good and most of the staff were friendly.nnThe food however……..nCompliments to the chef are in order!nEvery dish we ordered was made to perfection! Not a single complaint or comment from anyone at our table. Trust me when I say that some are very fussy eaters.nMy steak was rare-medium, and cooked to perfection. All the steaks were soft, the prawns were fresh and the beers cold!nWe will certainly come back to patronise this establishment. Don’t know why we’ve not been here before….
Food was average but a bit expensive. My partner got full rack of ribs and that was delicious but he said there wasn't much meat on the bone. My chicken was juicy but the vegetable was a bit bland
Had a great family meal for lunchtime. The seating was comfy although it was a tad noisy in the main dining room. The staff were friendly and responsive. One downside was the ordering as the folks couldn't work out the seniors on the QR code. The rest of us used QR ordering - the meals came out apart, with our entrees arriving practically with the mains.nBut the food was great. And the pokies were good fun too. Would definitely go back.nMeals shown here are the steak sandwich & vegetarian parma.
I visited the Berwick Inn Hotel's restaurant over the weekend and had a fantastic time. The Greek lamb salad was perfectly seasoned, and the popcorn chicken special was a delightful treat.nnThe decor matched the paint colour well, though I found the jazz music and mirrors in the back a bit odd. However, the atmosphere remained pleasant.nnSpecial thanks to the man with glasses who was always smiling and provided excellent service. Overall, a great experience and I look forward to returning soon.
Fantastic establishment, would recommend a visit.nnOne of the better run taverns in the state. Excellent modern interior with plenty of tables available - lots of natural lighting and outdoor areas.nnPrices are reasonable, good range at the bar with interesting on-tap options as well as cocktails. Can order through QR Code or directly through staff via table service.nnStaff were knowledgeable, attentive and helpful big ups to both the bar staff and servers. Will be coming back
