Can hardly buy any brands there any more. I now have to go all the way to the other end of Shepparton to the IGA if I want my Walkers Short breads, my Anna's Ginger Thins, Birds Eye Austalian Frozen Chips (non Super Crunch), a normal cucumber instead of a Lebanese cucumber, a normal Potato instead of a Golden Delight, any Pavlova except their generic one, any passionfruit pulp in a can that isn't their generic one. ...and don't be tricked with their baked goods - they are not exactly 'the fresh food people'. If you buy their large tray of donuts, they take them straight from the freezer and let them thaw on the shelves, so they may or may not still be frozen when you buy them, but at the least you will be buying thawed product, so it isn't really safe to re-freeze (which they don't give you any warning about). ...and this Woolworths isn't even as good as most other Woolworths stores. If you want their muffins that they try to pass off as freshly baked in the other stores, you are unlikely to find them here. They have never had any in stock in their cabinets when I have been there. Additionally, most of their baked goods are baked off site, and at best, they finish off the frozen finished product in their oven. It is the equivalent of offering your guests a home cooked meal, and serving up frozen pies that you have heated up in the oven. Do yourself a favour and go to a real baker - there are two pretty good ones on the main street of Mooroopna. Additionally in the Shepparton area, if you want a real treat, buy a danish pastry from the 7 Creeks bakery on Friar Street, not just a step up from a Supermarket, but danish pastries that are truly world class (and other first class products too). Also, you have to ask why all their deli items say made from local and imported product. If it contained Australian meat, you would think they would proudly proclaim 'Product of Australiua'. If they aren't taking the opportunity, I think we can all guess why! The IGA isn't perfect either, but I suggest boycott Woolworths and Coles in Shepparton until they get the message, and then hopefully IGA will lift their game to retain us.

Most times it is hard to find staff at checkout. They make you work to get your payment!
