I love the layout of this store! At first it can seem a little confusing, but once you get the hang of it - it flows well.nnBe sure to hit up the sushi and fried food counters out the back. Well priced and tasty on the go!
We stopped here a few times to grab bits and pieces; the store confused me really not that hard most of the time!, there is actually a front and back entrance and both sides have check-outs!! Never seen this layout before coming from the NT.nThis set up really works, as the shop is large, there were a lot of shoppers and having the extra exits and check outs kept everything flowing nicely. They also have the self-serve check outs.nThe shelves were well stocked, the fruit and veggies looked fresh.
The grocery store has a fantastic location and is consistently well stocked. It's a bustling hub, especially popular with tourists.
This is Woolworths with a Cairns touch.nAs I walk towards the store, which is in a convenient location for tourists, I am greeted by the bare foot, guitar playing busker near the entry and move among almost every nationality and language of the World. All are clambering for instant noodles, baby formula and chocolate. Security eyes me suspiciously as it's my third circuit of some aisles looking for salted peanuts...multiple visits and even with directions from staff, they continue to remain elusive.nStaff here are helpful though shelf packing appears to be done by a different method, maybe colour, as size, item and description principles are thrown out the door...maybe that's it. They throw it in and where it lands rarely corresponds to the actual price or item...she will be alright mate.
Always good for shopping when it's just you eating because they have a range of deli packaged meats and cheeses for one or 2 people ready to go. Friendly staff...busy place.
