It's expensive these days to shop at Coles, we had a small trolley of basic goods and it was just under $350aud. The service is useless, you're relegated to buying bags or bringing your own, expect to scan and pack your own groceries, expect to feel like you are in jail before leaving the store due to all the security measures in place.
The entrance to the supermarket is not easy for us to find it; googlemap's direction isn't too useful with the point of entrance to the building and multi-layer building structure. However, once getting there, there are many local or make-in-Australia food options for us to explore.
I am impressed by the bakery staff in Coles, Cairns Central, they bake wonderful bread and if you ask nicely they might even give you a hot loaf, which is a delight to have for breakfast.nnThey are friendly people and always happy to slice bread for you.
This store in cairns central would have to b one of the worst for service ..I normally go there from the other side of town to purchase the fresh orange juice which U dispense from the machine that makes the fresh orange juice.but I been going back there for the last 4 weeks .the machine on the 4 occasions is still out of order..I asked staff members what is going one one staff members said I hope they never fix it as it's a burden on the store I can't believe the attitude of the staff..I asked them again today why isn't it fixed with a reply saying no idea..this store is very unprofessional..what is wrong with the store manager.get yr act together Coles.
Tried ordering online. Went to pick up groceries and it was very difficult not knowing where the pick-up area wasnew to Cairns.Worst experience. By the time I got my groceries at the counter half of it was thawing out. I had chosen paper bags online but the app kept pushing to go no bags. Big mistake! Going back to doing my shopping at Woolworths.
