The entrance to the supermarket is not easy for us to find it; googlemap's direction isn't too useful with the point of entrance to the building and multi-layer building structure. However, once getting there, there are many local or make-in-Australia food options for us to explore.
There are no directions on Google for the click and collect parking bays.nThere are no signs for the direct to boot / click and collect parking bays throughout the entire 3 level multi storey car park. Drove around for 20 mins, couldn't locate.nThe trolly lad was asked, he didn't know. Parked the car, walked through the shopping centre and into the store, the lad on the Customer Service Desk didn't know either. He told me he 'thought' they were on the first level and pointed to the doors. He was wrong.nnWhat the dickens, Coles?nDo we have to be psychic?nnFor anyone using this service for the first and last time, they're on the 2nd level or uppermost level, opposite end to Woolworths.
Used the self service which I rarely do as I only had about 6 items. Moved something in the bag slightly to make better space for the next item. Machine goes into lock mode... red light.. need assistance. Grumpy staff member eventually comes over and rather than accept my account of events decides to watch the entire transaction on a video screen.nAfter finding out that I wasn't a thief or trying to 'cheat' the system she reactivates the machine and walks off.nIf Coles don't TRUST me to do their job of scanning products myself - then why even let me do it in the first place!!!!!
Popped in to grab a few things while staying in Cairns, and it definitely made the stay more affordable. Great shopping facilities as it's a large Coles.
Great service from Dan in the deli! His Asian colleague was surly and unprofessional though. Also wanted to thank Cassandra for her kind assistance.
