Staff here are always friendly. Plenty of parking even though it looks congested. Just look out for that rare customer who trys to run you over because you're slightly off the ZEBRA CROSSING.
As a loyal IGA customer of nearly 20 years, I am extremely disappointed to see the gradual decline of the IGA Peries Supermarket formerly Piccones in Manoora over the past two years. This relates to decrease in quality of some produce namely fruit and vegetables, shortage of items and dramatic increase in the promotion and prominent in-store displays of sugary items e.g. soft drinks, chocolates, lollies and fast food etc at the entrance to all of the aisles. Fortunately the staff continue to be friendly and helpful, however my concerns and numerous others remain unheeded, despite being vocalised numerous times.
It's worth checking out this shop. You got to keep a look out for specials. The only problem I encountered the last time I was there was there was no stock. I was one of the first customer there when the open the doors and I was very disappointed.
Well Peries have destroyed what was once proud family in owned Picconies IGA.nCairns is not a western QLD town, it’s a regional city that has other options.nWe got 2 x lamb rolled roasts with a used bu of the 31 December 25.nBoth we rotten.nThey gave me back my money as all they had was the same date batch.nIt the inconvenience of now sorting dinner last minute.nKeep it up and you will go broke.
Great choice of products, different to Woolworths and Coles, plus deli options. Fruit and veg bit more expensive.
