The service staff self checkout need a refresher training. I went for my grocery shopping on Thursday 04 Dec, 2025 at 08:43PM and used the self checkout. I scanned a marked down product and the original price was displayed. I called the lady Asian and told that the higher price has been displayed whereas there is a yellow tagged discounted price on the product. She then said, she will fix it, and was trying to put the discounted price. I know the supermarkets have the policy to give an item for free if the price scanned is higher then the self price. She was shocked when she heard this and told they don't do that at Woolies. I then said, well Coles does that. She just ignored me and edited the price to reduced amount. When I went to the customer service area, they had a big Price Scan Policy displayed. Also, her attitude was like it was her uncle's shop. She definitely needs a refresher training.
I was in there yesterday shopping as I usually do when at 12:10pm they had customers lined up and only 2 ppl working the registers one in the self serv and 1 in the service desk the male in the desk was calling for staff to assist with not much luck this is unacceptable for such a big company where profit is more important than service keep up the good work Glenorchy
I visited Woolworths Glenorchy today and purchased sugarcane pulp oval plates. The product was incorrectly priced on the shelf, which I only discovered at the checkout.nThe staff member at the checkout was polite and offered to check the price. However, when another staff member named Merrey came to review it, she stated that the pricing error was not a mistake and began arguing in a rude and dismissive manner.nWhen I asked to speak to the manager, she gave me her name and said I could do whatever I liked, saying this in front of the manager. Eventually, the manager acknowledged that the pricing was incorrect and provided a discount.nHowever, this situation is not just about the money. The way I was treated was disrespectful and unprofessional. I believe customers should be treated with courtesy, and I hope management takes appropriate action to prevent similar experiences in the future at Woolworths Glenorchy.
Click and collect option at Woolworths Glenorchy is typically a complete disaster.nWait times of up to 45 aren’t unusual. Right now there’s 11 cars waiting in the parking bay and a single staff member bringing people’s orders out. Cars are arriving faster than the orders are coming out
A big store with a lot of variety of items and decent space between isles. When I visited a lot of items were on sale but not sure it was due to Christmas or end of year. Over all its good, off street parking or nearby streets.
