surprisingly, the food is great!! we love the seafood paella, pumpkin salad, even the kebab & steak is not bad, highly recommend this place!! will go back again for sure.
Another brilliant meal, as a bit of a food hussy I like to eat around. I rarely make reviews. I’ve being going to the Wonthaggi Club for years and the food just keeps getting better, tonight I had the seafood Paella it was absolutely magnificent, heaps of prawns, calamari, mussels and other shellfish also chorizo sausage. Oh I forgot to mention the half Morton bay bug on top.nnSomething I will say is that the staff are lovely, they will take the time to chat and have a laugh as well as providing most excellent customer service. Good customer service is a rarity these days and I keep going back as it’s consistent.nnThank you once again for a great night out.
Had not been to the Wonthaggi club for a while so we throught we give it a go. We did not have a booking and the staff were able to accomodate us which was great - but then it went down hill. My wife ordered the roast of the day and I ordered the Calamari with a Pavolva for Dessert. The mains came out very fast and the Calamari was ok - however the roast of the day was lacking in flavour a real disappointment. I then waited for my dessert which after 40 minutes and reminding three of the waiting staff on three occaisons and all said they were looking into it. I could not wait any longer and I went to the counter and asked for my money back. This is the first time I asked for my money refunded on something I have ordered that I can remember. I know it was busy - but their excuse was the chef was also busy with entrees. It doesn't take long to cut a slice of Pavlova. Very disappointed the staff very busy but not coodinated don't think we will be back.
Always fabulous food at a very reasonable price. Wednesday night is Parma special night for $20. They were even happy to change my chips for veggies.
Visited on a Sunday for lunch and both my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The vegan schnitzel was delicious and the calamari was fresh and tender. We would definitely recommend a visit here. Staff were friendly and helpful too!
