Great town centre location with ample parking out the back.nStaff were friendly and helpful. My seafood basket and wine was excellent.nThe room was adequate and clean, with shared not so clean bathrooms. It had a king size bed with good sheets, but was very basic; original old hotel rooms.

My family, friends and I enjoyed dining here at The Caledonian.  Our meals were tasty, comprising of fish basket for our friends, and the Calabrese pasta my husband and I.  The staff were also very attentive and friendly.nnThe staff at this pub went above and beyond in organising a birthday cake for our friend, whose birthday also fell on the night.  We are extremely grateful to the manager and the staff for making the night so memorable for us.

Great food. 2nd time I have ordered and was exceptional I have mobility issues at the moment so great I can enjoy fine dinning at home. 100% recommend to all.

Terrible evening food experience, over an hour late after ordering - only a few people to serve , no vegetarian options on menu, seafood risotto cooked with frozen seafood- still cold- rice overcooked a disgusting. Chicken dish ordered with seasonal vegetables- arrived with one cherry tomato and some iceberg lettuce. Staff appeared embarrassed when we voiced our disappointment and we were delivered chips and offered a bottle of wine as compensation. Never again.

Well where do I start ,now I know what it's like to sleep rough .The only difference was I had clean bedding, as for the bathrooms OMG .If I can give you some advice please clean them ,a pile of dirty towels laying in a pile for the two days I was there is just disgusting.Your communal kitchen area nowhere to wash anything.Your TV room has three televisions on the floor ,do they work or not ?Now the bistro ,food average ,service average ,better places to dine as I found out on my second night there .
